  1. Dear All, My Wife was previously married and acquired debts. Whilst I have no financial association with her I wondered what the cheapest and swiftest route was in order to stop the wolves from the door. I recently heard of at type of IVA/bankruptcy where you pay a small fee (or it might have been for free) so you can make yourself bankrupt? Am I barking up wrong tree. Just need to start the ball rolling so I/we know that in 6 years she starts afresh with acquiring new credit. I would really appreciate some insight. Thanks all.

    B&Q

Just had B&Q install new kitchen - what a joke. Sold dream kitchen in store, installers sub-contracted out and never overseen throughout project, failed to turn up on the start date, B&Q surveyor messed up the kitchen design, installers had to call in favours of fellow installers/sub-contractors to assist with completing install, not enough parts delivered, cleared rubbish before install finished in beginning of August and still waiting for new extractor filters this afternoon. Furthermore one of the installers damaged my newly installed carpets. Complained and got cost of carpets co

  4. ims21 - thank you. I intend to challenge their decision. My rationale for PPI complaints is that I neither wanted them, they were never explained to me or were of no use to me at the time of applications. I guess thats the correct emphasis? I guess like most people, I am going after alot of claims. Lloyds settled at the beginning of the year, which was nice. Natwest credit card settled earlier this year too. Debenhams - pending Kwik-fit - pending HSBC/Midland bank - pending Any tips would be useful. Thanks alot.
  5. Dear ims21. Thank you for your insight. I will continue with SAR request and apply pressure. On a seperate matter, LLoyds tsb credit card recently came back to me to deny my PPI claim on the basis that I ticked the original application box to request ppi. This claim goes back to 2002 and from memory, I have never signed any applications (including Debenhams) and i would refute their response - what action can I take (i am a Lloyds customer)? Thank you. NB: first time user, sorry if I am posting in wrong areas.
  6. regrettably no. But I know for sure I had an account around 1999-2001. I am trying date subject access but no joy to-date
  7. Apologies I meant. Is the onus on me to substantiate my claim?
  8. Dear All, I recently received a rejection letter from Barclaycard regarding my PPI complaint as they cannot locate any information regarding my historic accounts. Is the onus on my to substantiate my claim? Any help would be useful. Many thanks.
