  1. Hi all, we have a bit of a problem, we have sent a letter to Wonga three weeks ago trying to pay off our £700 loan over three months due to financial difficulties. After three weeks i get a phone call from my son telling me that they have actually sent a response to our letter to his email. Our account with Wonga has nothing to do with our son at all. My husband and my son have the same first name, but my son also has two middle names which he made known to Wonga when he first took out a loan with them. So just because of the same first name, they automatically assumed that it was my son who sent them the letter. We have been in contact with Wonga, making clear to them that they have breached the Data Protection Act, which they admitted to. They made us the offer of writing off all interest and £100 off the original debt. We are not satisfied with that and want more. I need to write a letter to them to let them know that the account is now in dispute due to them breaching the DPA. Can anybody give me any advise on how to formulate this letter to them? Thanks in Advace Dani
  2. actually, just checked my emails and low and behold, they have just send me an email... i can't believe they even have the cheek... Dear... I do not wish to presume anything, but do you have other debts of a similar nature to this one that you are trying to pay off at this time? If so do you have an approximate ides of how much this debt totals? the reason i ask is that we re currently working alongside the money advise group. if you would like to discuss your financial situation with them i can call you at a suitable time for yourself and pass you through to them... wth? do they really think i am that stupid???
  3. i have sent them the letter via email and they have not replied, neither have they been to visit us nor have they bothered us since...
  4. i thought this dca sounded a bit fishy, they are wanting money of us, but just ignoring them for now, chances are that they might just vanish of the face of the earth again soon...
  5. Hi all, we have a problem with the NatWest. We have no overdraft facilities on our account, yet the NatWest got our account overdrawn with charges for charges for charges.. get the picture? Anyway, we have not had my husbands money go into the account for that reason and have been on the phone to them numerous times over this, with no success. On saturday we received a letter of notice of intention to register a default notice. On the front of the letter it says they are giving us 28 days form the date of the letter, which was printed on the 9th october. Now on the next page they tell us to make payment by the 26th october. Tell me I am dumb, but that is only 17 days not 28, thats not even just working days.. i have scanned both letters, but I can't attach them as I have not posted 10 times yet :/ maybe somebody could shed some light on this for me? Isn't that illegal? Any help on this would be very much appreciated. thanks daniela
