Many thanks for the help. I have the account info I made the payments from but I cannot remember the name of the finance company. The car dealer disappeared when Rover collapsed although they have appeared locally now dealing Nissan cars. I guess that would be my point of contact to see if they can help? All the best, Pete.

Hi all. This is my first post so apologies if this question is a repeat. I did try to search for a similar thread to gain info from. I currently have 4 claims outstanding with various credit cards and a loan which are in progress. Recalling my financial history, I had a Hire Purchase loan which I took out for the purchase of a new car to the sum of just over £7000 around about 2003/4. This was through a credit company when I purchased the car through a Rover dealer and the loan is now paid off. Obviously Rover are no more and I can't find any information or paperwork of this loan as I finished paying it 3 years ago and disposed of all paperwork since. I have signed up to Experian but I can't see any trace of this credit company at all. I'm convinced I had PPI on this loan and would really like to trace the credit company (if they are still in business), to make a possible claim. So, long story short, how do I go about making a claim against a PPI policy I know I had when I have absolutely nothing to go on? Many thanks, Pete.
