  1. All the hard work and keep taking on Barclays has paid off after two final responses saying they had no record of me I went back to them again with the same proof I had obtained from their own insurance people in Dublin Today a cheque for a few £ short of £15k arrived Thanks for the help
  2. Bank of Scotland / Halifax have upheld my complaint against capital bank from 1998 so my advice is to follow that route in my case PPI wa provided by St. Andrews group if that helps
  3. Sorry I haven't got details of the monthly payments only the info shown above and apologies yes it is the same issue as the thread you highlighted
  4. I spoke to barclays yesterday who have upheld my complaint and are now calculating their offer. Can anyone help in helping me have an idea of what this might be so I can check their calculations when the offer arrives please It was front loaded on a 7 year loan which started in sept 1997 and paid off in april 2004 the amount paid for ppi was £4227 and the interest on this and the loan was 12.9% Can anyone do a rough calculation including the 8% please as imam not sure how to calculate Any help much appreciated thanks
  5. I referred next to the FOS a few years ago they wrote back saying they had given up as next and the insurers had avoided any responsibility between them.
  6. Had a letter informing me of a delay to my claim for the above reason. This takes it outside the 8 weeks. Has anyone else had this response or can enlighten to to the reason for this? Cheers
  7. Letter arrived quoting an amount in full settlement of my claim there is no mention of any offsetting or other reductions so I am hoping this means my cheque will be for the full amount quoted in their offer letter
  8. I have spoken to Lombard/RBS today who have confimed they have upheld my complaint and I will be receiving a letter offering me a 5 figure sum. I am astounded by the amount but it is a loan dating back to 1997 On the issue of offsetting will any offsetting be confirmed and detailed in the offer letter or will that be confirmed at the point I accept their offer and then receive a cheque for a potential lesser amount? The guy I spoke to didnt mention any redressing so perhaps there is none Thanks
  9. I took next to the FOS a good few years ago the FOS gave up and accepted nexts position in hat they were not the insurers I have not seen any evidence of successful claims against next despite their ppi policy
  10. Just a quick update I have spoken to St Andrews this morning who were very helpful. In a short call they found my PPI policy gave me the policy number date it was taken out (1997) the cost excluding interest (over £3000) and have undertaken to send me copies of the policy documentation they hold. BOS already have the loan account number but have said they cannot trace the loan from the information provided so far hopefully this additional info and documentation will assist my claim although I am still expecting rejection based on insufficient info What do others think? Credit to St Andrews at least
  11. Thanks I will give St A a ring to see if they can provide a policy number. If they can't can I submit an SAR directly to them ? Thanks
  12. I am trying to establish who the provider of BOS creditcare back in early 2000's I wish to contact them to try and establish a policy number to assist with my claim. If anyone has any ideas or contact details this would be much appreciated as I have drawn a blank so far Thanks in anticipation
