  1. Thanks, and I will. If the agent continues to restrict her communications with me, I will no other choice than pursue this legally. Yes - I have the login details for the DPS website and the full deposit is untouched. Both parties will need to consent to the allocation of the deposit. Is the agent also breaching the law by not providing me with the landlord's details? She refers to the landlord very vaguely as 'her friend'.
  2. No I set up a SO on the first each month to prevent rent from going into arrears. My deposit is still held in the DPS. The agent is holding onto my overpaid amount and stated that she would only return this fund if I replace a broken inventory. The agent is a sole proprietor and I doubt that she is a member of any certification property agent organisation. It seems that I am now blocked from her contacts list. Is there any organisation that I could report to?
  3. Hi there, I would like some advice on major issues with my letting agent. She is a sole trader and I have inadvertently overpaid her a full months' rent after I have moved out. However, she refuses to return my overpaid amount and said that it depends on the damages caused to the property during my tenancy. I reminded her that this should be deducted in mu deposit. I am very worried as the overpayment is quite a substantial amount and this is clearly unreasonable. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
