They have insisted they have a signed warrant to come into the property, but I am most concerned about the £600 they have put on in legal fees and debt collection - £240 of it being for this visit! is there anyway around this at all? Me and my partner are considering paying the full amount and telling them where to shove it but we don't want to risk not getting anything back if we cant fight them. I'm really upset as I managed to pay of £3000 last year and get myself out of debt and now its back again!!
  2. Utility warehouse have done nothing but punish me for a previous persons debt and given me a £1000 bill which is £600 in legal fees! They are ridiculous, unhelpful and rude right up until I mentioned taking them to court for the £600 when its all nice! Cowboys is all I can say, I have been a customer of EDF, NPOWER and British gas- never any issues even when I went through a rough patch with money and got into debt with npower they were always helpful never rude to me at all and didnt put on a ridiculous amount of money on there in 'fees'
  3. I have already done that this morning, I recorded the call also so I had proof. It was the complaints department, He was very rude until I said I would like to know how I can take it to court. where he became all apologetic and said to send a complaint in to so and so. They are still coming to my house to fit the meters on monday- I'm not even fussed about it if I'm honest I just refuse to pay all these legal fees!! Has anyone ever tried to claim these back? - I haven't paid them but they are trying to make me!

I have had an ongoing issue with Utility warehouse for months ever since I moved in my property. It is my mums house and I rent it from her, Utility warehouse were her provider when I moved in. She gave them a final meter reading and agreed a repayment plan to pay off some money she owed. We Moved in and the problems started!   6. Thanks for the advice its really helpful. Can ARC take me to court though? I have tried to contact QQ but they have told me they will no longer deal with me at its been passed to them. The bank account I have registered with QQ is closed down, so I had no idea if Im honest That the money hadnt been taken. Is there a template anywhere I can use for a letter? I have no idea what to write!

  8. Hi all, I stupidly took out a QQ loan back in February this year. I believed I had paid it and since then my bank account had been closed as it was a joint account with an ex partner. I moved in with my grandparents for a while as I was paying off a lot of debt, anyway long story short my Grandad called and said ARC have rang me. I had no idea who they were so I stupidly rang them. I have now been told if I dont pay up within the next so many days I will be issued with a CCJ, I simply dont have the money to pay at the moment and have not received any letters from the ACR to say I h
