Hi - I'm new to the Forum. I've just received 2 PCNs for £130 each for contravention "45: PARKERD ON A TAXI RANK". The thing is I didn't. In the morning I picked up a friend from Wembley tube and later that afternoon I dropped him back. I did stop in a taxi rank (it was empty!) but I don't think I parked. For the pick up I was there for a couple of minutes. I did get out of the car to get something from the passenger seat. For the drop of I never got out of the car and was there for less than a minute. So I never left the car. Did I park so as to be guilty of this contravention or has this penalty been wrongly served? If I challenge, what's the best wording to use? If my challenge fails, do I lose the option to take the 50% discount for paying withing 21 days? Amazing if anyone can help me - thanks !
