1. Hi Not sure if this is the correct section, so please move if needed. This is a question regarding golf courses / players and liability We stay close to a recognised core path, recently the land to the inside of the path was converted to a 9 hole course. The owner has planted some small trees, looks like it may become a beech hedge in a few years. My question is, should someone be walking along the path, which is outside of the golf course boundary, be hit by a golf ball, who is liable? The issue I have, it is a turn up and play course, so all non members. The people playing are unlikely to have insurance that covers them for this. I would also expect there could be some denial too on the players part. Does the owner have a duty of care to have some protection in place to compensate for the significant injuries that can occur? Thanks
2. Is it possible that Voda have recycled the number and whoever had it before you was the one who set it up?
3. A lot of the low cost airlines use ground agents to do that rather than airline staff as it saves paying wages to staff doing nothing while there are no flights, not sure about Ryanair. I did ask before, as was said you need to give your passport details before flying, so they are checked based on what is entered. I suspect they don't really care who leaves the country. Other European countries do have security checks to get into airside, which includes a passport check. In the UK all you need is a ticket.
4. You don't go through border control on the way out. Only the airline checks your passport. Border control is only on entry
5. Thanks I'm not convinced there is much on the way of signs, Possibly at the entry where you get the ticket, but in reality you are not going to sit and read that with a queue of cars behind you. The part the car was parked in looks like a bit of spare ground they have selected to increase spaces, you can see on the image from Google that the mud parking runs around the top and right side. The car was parked where the red arrow is You will also see the lack of lighting in the area I'm back there in a couple of weeks, so will pay attention for the signs
6. Hi Just interested in your views. The car was parked at NCP's carpark at Edinburgh airport, on returning a sticker was applied to the windscreen saying "OOPS you have parked outside the marked bay... this is a warning you may receive a parking charge notice is you do it again" or words to that effect The images is where the car was parked. I believe it was inside the bay, but more importantly the full bay marking was a short line on the ground, on the left side of the image you can only just see the mark and that was in the daylight. It was parked early morning while still dark. The main question, for my own benefit, would you say it's inside the bay, granted near the edge...? I'm just wondering if this is a prelude to them trying to increase revenue through PCN's Thanks
7. I would suggest you have to consider how much effort you are going to put in for less than £5 (bank rate), once fees have been taken you would probably get about £4 in exchange.
8. Err phone them and tell them you are the customer named on the account. As long as your parents are okay with this principle what's the problem?
9. Hi Your details are on the letter. You should remove it and clear your personal information out
10. While there may be 0% interest are you sure there is not a fee. I got one of these the other day and from memory it was something like 2.5% fee on what you transfer. If there is a fee, you need to work out which is cheapest, if you are paying it off in a few months the bank might work out better after all. Also if you don't happen to pay off the card in time the results will be eye watering!
11. Family have phones on three, good value and no issues. Son can use 50Gb a month with no caps, he's recently updated contracts to sim only £12 / month think it's 300mins, unlimited texts, unlimited data with 4g Sadly I'm on business O2 and would not recommend them at all.
12. Have a look at three, they have some great unlimited data packages which offer 4G free if in a 4G area
13. Perhaps I've confused things, to clarify. If for example you have MS office home on your pc and it is expected that you would use say Word as part of your work. Then this is against your agreement with MS and is illegal. If they supply software, then that is fine, obviously you would need to check to see if they expect it to be removed once you return to work.
14. I understood most of the BYOD schemes required the device to be checked by IT in the first instance to ensure no viruses were present and most require you to install corporate software to protect their servers etc. also whilst I am not questioning where you got your software from, many "home" or free licences do not cover corporate use and in asking you to use your own pc, they would be asking you to break the law.
15. £2400 left to pay on a TV? Do yourself a favour and let them take it back! You can buy a perfectly good large screen TV for £200-£300. Save up for that rather than pay these chancers £2k for the privilege.
16. This does look like a clever way to collect email addresses for spam lists. I struggle to see why the need for such requests.
17. Unfortunately you may get a surprise when they reject your claim. A 10M rating does not mean you can swim with it! 10 Meters 33 Feet 1 ATM A watch with this resistance level is protected against accidental exposure to water; for example, splashes, perspiration or accidental immersion. It should not be exposed to any water pressure. It's strange I know, but that is the classification of your watch.
18. As long as you don't leave the site you can stay forever?
19. Parkers guide lists the Zyrtec version at only £300 difference in price for a 2011 plate, I would print their valuation off and use it as an argument. But at the end of the day they have offered to cancel the deal, assuming they cover the costs of tax etc then I don't think you could ask for much more. They may as said pay off the old car as goodwill, but I doubt if they need too. If you are not happy cancel the deal and go elsewhere
20. A lot more expensive I know but my surface pro 3 is totally silent when running normal operations, the fan does kick in if it's working hard though
21. I would suggest in the first instance you advise them the driver is very particular about which space they chose and spent 34 minutes looking for the perfect spot before parking for under 3 hours!
22. Amazon sell cables for £2-3 pounds I think tesco sell clones for about that price too.
23. hi Normally the compressor kits come with sealant and are for standard tyres, my wife has this in her corsa. You don't need to add air to run flats the walls are designed to hold the weight of the car without air. I've had two cars with run flats, neither had a compressor.
24. Did you get a spare or puncture kit with the car? If you got neither then if suggests they should have been run flats and it may add to your argument. I'm slightly confused by your flat tyre thought, run flats visually don't go flat, even with no air. Did your wife drive it with a flat tyre ? In honesty unless you have a really good reason you are better off without them. Punctures should not be fixed on them, so it's a new tyre every time and they are more expensive. The ride is better without them too. But going back to my question, without a spare or repair kit they are useless.
25. Would it not be simpler just to set up a Google type address then never use it again? I know there is some thought that everyone is now online, but it seems a bit restrictive if they just won't had them over. Have they asked to get them sent to the clubs email address?
