  1. Hi, What has happened in virtually every Nationwide case is that they say they are going to defend, the MCOL website shanges to show this and then Nationwide pay up. It never (as far as I know, although there was one case where they ignored the case and another in Scotland that went further) gets to the stage of them submitting their defence. It only happens after they pay out if you don't agree with the amount they owe. I wouldn't worry too much about the AQ at the moment, just wait for the money to hit the bank which should be in the next week.
  2. They have now paid in the next instalment, I;m just about £500 short which sounds a lot but then they have paid out nearly £7000 in the last couple of days so I'm not complaining. Well, not at the moment, I'll leave the moneyclaim running and be in touch with Mr Bacon about the missing bit.
  3. Hi, This is a standard letter from Nationwide, wait until your 14 days are up and then go onto the next stage, Goodluck!
  4. Once the claim is issued Nationwide tend to acknowledge it quite quickly, so within a few days they'll have you thinking that they are going to defend the whole amount. This gives them 28 days from the time it is issued (an extra 14 days). You should then get the money about two weeks after that. If you read some of the other threads it will give you an idea what to expect.
  5. Hi, This is standard practice for Nationwide. Hopefully you should get the money in about two weeks, maybe in bits and pieces and maybe not all of it but who knows at the moment.
  6. Hello, Have you read the step by step instructions because you don't add the 8% interest until you get to the court stage. Initially you ask for the fees you have been charged and the interest resulting from those fees. If you have just sent off the first letter you should get the standard response in about a week. Wait the fourteen days and then send the next letter. Meanwhile I would read as much as you can on this site and P.M someone to move this thread as it is in the 'Successes' bit. Anyway, good luck, it takes a while but you should get there in the end.
  7. Thanks! I checked at about four and it wasn't there and then at about 5:30 and it was. Don't want to give the impression that I have been checking up to ten time a day but there you go!
  8. Well... after convincing myself I had done something horribly wrong Nationwide have paid out!! It's only a fraction of the amount but hopefully more will go in tomorrow but at it's put my mind at rest. Hopefully everyone else will get some good news soon.
  9. Thanks, it's nice to know I'm not the only one!
  10. There are a few of us in the same situation at the moment, all feeling the same sense of panic. Hopefull they have just decided to take their time with this lot.
  11. Did this get settled or are you still waiting?
  12. Hi, If it's any consolation we filed a claim on the 11th as well and haven't been paid. Maybe they're just taking longer and longer with each lot. Fingers crossed.
  13. I need some reassurance on this as I am getting even more worried now. The claim was acknowledged on the 13th but since then nothing. Looking at other threads they should have paid up by now? There is maybe one problem, looking at the claim I think I missed out putting the account number in, they have the name and address so should be able to match it up but do you think this could be why there is a delay. Really don't want to be the one that has to go all the way with this. Thanks for any advice.
  14. I think it depends on how much you are claiming. I had to pay £250!!
  15. Hi, I'm not an expert but I would think if you contact the court or MCOL and let them know that the money has been paid that should do it.
