  1. If you have had a date and time from the court to be out of the property then this is an eviction. If this is your first one and you are in position to pay a chunk of arrears off and keep up payments then i think you will be ok when you go to court to have the eviction stopped. Fill in the N244 when your Husband gets home and take it with your £40 payment to the court in the morning. They might give you a date and time for the hearing straight away. You can do this without your husband if he is working. He should go to the hearing though to support his case. We have in the past had a hearing for the morning of the eviction so its never too late but the more time you have the better. You should gather together any doctors papers and pay slips to show the judge to support your case .
  2. Thanks Everyone. I have made a payment over the phone this morning albeit only £10. They asked why it was so low and i explained and they were ok with it. The staff on the phone come across as being more human than the agent and manager. Said it was fine to pay over the phone every week. Things are looking better and cant wait to get Provi behind me. Never taking out anymore loans ever again. Cash only from now on.
  3. There are no charges on the account that i know of. Its an old debt which i slipped behind on due to financial issues and just paid what i could when i could. Do provident do Card payments on the phone ? I would rather do it this way than have them pressure me at the door again and i have not given them this address yet
  4. I had my home reposessed at the end of April and told the agent via text that i would contact him as soon as i was settled and had some money coming in again. I owe around £200 from a balance that was £1400 so not got much left to pay. He is now texting me a few times a week asking for payments and saying that his manager is "going mad" over my debt. If i could afford to pay them i would. Any suggestions on how to buy myself a few weeks from paying them ?
  5. 25th April . I was dreading plugging the phone in as they used to phone several times a day some days but nothing as yet.
  6. We have been repossessed and Acendon have the house up for sale for alot more than we owe so fingers crossed we wont have much of a shortfall if any at all. If they sell for more than we owe what happens with the extra money ?. Also i have inherited a house which is currently for sale but its under probate and not my own name on the deeds. As the repossessed Mortgage was in my partners name and not my own would Acendon be able to claim any of this property if there is a shortfall ? They are totally unaware of this. Hope this makes sense to anyone reading
  7. We had another eviction date from them last year which took them three months to get but we fought them off that time by the skin of our teeth and paid the arrears in full. Yet they were still determined to take our house and wouldnt cancel the order so we had to go to court to do it wasting £40 of our money again. I dont know how these companies can get away with treating people this way. We have not given them our new address yet. Our phone number is still the same but they have not tried to phone us. As for your CCs i think i would have forgotten to pass on my new address !!!
  8. We had a suspended and they went straight for a posession date after the first missed payment. After they sent the letter telling us of their action we had an order put through the door from the bailiff within days. ( I think this would depend on how busy your court actually is as i have heard many stories where the timescales have been a week or months from missed payments ). The date we had to get out by was for 14 days later in our case. We applied to the court again as soon as we had the date and had an appointment with the judge for 2 days before to buy some more time as we have a son who is doing GCSEs and at that time the house we are renting now was still being renovated but they wouldnt have none of it. I phoned the bailiff to see what would happen on the day and she actually pleaded directly to Acendon for us and got us 2 extra days which was a help. It was a whirl wind 2 weeks but im glad it all happened so quickly now looking back. But it get to me how they can rubber stamp a date so quickly but couldnt give us an appointment so quick
  9. We were reposed at the end of April and like you we had enough of the fight with them. It got to the point where we hated going home. I know that if you dont make payments they will take possession of your property within 3 months. I dont know how it works though sorry if you hand the keys back to them. We were lucky enough to know someone with a house to rent so didnt have the worry of Credit Checks. To be totally honest its the best thing that we have ever done. Our family life is so much better. Our house needed alot of work which we couldnt afford. Its nice now watching the rain outside and not worrying if our kitchen roof is going to cave in !!!. We had 12 years of hell living there in general. They have the house up for sale for much more than we owe so we are hoping that we will end up not owing but i know they will have added on alot of charges. The bailiff said that we will be charged for a dog handler even though i told her my dog would not even be at the property on the final day . I wish you and your family well in your new life and hope you get the answers that you need.
