  1. Hi, this is my first post on the Forums so please be patient. npower have broken into my house twice in the last five years, they have been billing me for a meter that they removed and replaced during November 2007, on both occasions they had a locksmith attend, managed to break the lock and have had to supply and fit replacements. The first time they entered my home after a Warrant had been obtained but it appears they didn't bother applying for a Warrant for the second visit. They didn't leave any paperwork. In November 2007 I rang them after receiving notice of the Warrant and after a lengthy conversation they agreed they had made errors on my account regarding the billing, apologised and told me they would stop all recovery action including the application for the Warrant. I asked them for confirmation of this in writing which I received a week before they applied to the court. They still went ahead and entered my home regardless, and offered me £350 as compensation. They replaced my old meter with a pre payment meter but after I had complained threatening to take action against them, they replaced the pre payment meter with a new credit meter. However in their wisdom they continue to bill me using the original meter. In October last year I asked the Energy Ombudsman to intervene as I had just about had enough of npower! Despite sending copy correspondence to them, the Energy Ombudsman still haven't contacted npower. Other than taking them through the small claims court I don't know of any other option to solve this. Any suggestions? Please!
