I was trying to have the default removed due to not having any proper official notice, - I was going through extreme hardship at the time, lost my job, had to go back to college etc, no income at all, was claiming job seekers allowance. Just seems very unfair as I was able to pay the overdraft in full 4 months after the default notice.

Hi there I have a default against me for an overdraft of £1100 which I have now paid. I never received letters of final demand etc etc I tried the consumer act standard letter asking for proof that they gave me "notice" but I hit a brick wall by them telling me that the overdraft is not covered by this! Is there any other way around this? is this a fobb off by the bank? Please help me out? Thank Sean
