  1. ok, thanks Ericsbrother, will keep hold of everything and update if I hear anymore. Thanks for all the help on this one, greatly appreciated.
  2. Well 16th January was the last time I heard from Athena. This was the Final Demand letter saying if I didn't pay upit would be passed to a Debt collection Agency. Nothing since. Do you think that is it? I was expecting a few more letters first, but nothing for around 13 weeks?
  3. thanks ericsbrother, i will keep the page updated.
  4. no driver identified, and in the latest letter it says i have failed to give driver details.
  5. UPDATE - Well I didn't bother with the third letter as I had sent 2 already which they took no notice of. Today I received the bog standard Final Demand, I remember this exact letter from the last time around for another ticket in 2012. It just says pay within 2 weeks or they will pass to 'a debt collection company' (yawn). Adding they MAY begin legal proceedings blah blah. So we wait and see....
  6. OK, tomorrow i will send them one 3rd and final letter again proof of postage and demand the POPLA code. My first letter was well within the 28 day appeal. You are right, they have not said either way whether they have received that first letter, but only responded once they had the recorded delivery one.
  7. Sorry just seen some more replies, will have a read, and yes mistyped dates, all 2014, Will read the other replies now.
  8. Thanks for that, I appreciate your help. I will keep any evidence and await any further correspondence from them. yes it could mean they only received the second letter.
  9. Thank you. This is the exact sequence of events for clarification. Date of alleged offence 2/11/14 Parking charge issue date 4/11/13 First letter sent to Athena ANPR requesting POPLA code (royal mail stamp only) Overdue Reminder issued 8/12/14 Second letter sent to Athena ANPR detailing that my first request for POPLA code had been ignored and that this second letter was sent with proof of postage Letter dated 16th December, received yesterday (20/12/14) stating 'with reference to my correspondence' the written appeals should be submitted within 28 days of delivery of the notice and that I was now outside that timescale for them to review my appeal. Now surely they have admitted receiving my correspondence and they are the ones who have ignored me and are at fault for not issuing my POPLA code? So, I am wondering, do I now leave this as they have admitted receiving my letters and chosen to delay response until I am out of date and therefore have sufficient evidence to overturn the charge, or do I do something else? Many thanks
  10. Thanks for your replies. I did indeed send the first letter within the 28 days, in fact within 3 or 4 days of receiving the ticket in november. I cannot see any BPA logo on the letter for Athena Anpr. This is a completely new parking charge, seperate from the one in 2012. thank you for your help
  11. Hi all, a couple of years ago you gave me some great advice on here regards the above company. At that time it was ignore, ignore, ignore. I followed this, received the statutory letters and eventually that was that. My son has received the same charge in november. They had changed their times to this ridiculous ten min wotsit. I told him to ignore, which he did, but then i read on here that the advice has changed. We wrote, requesting the POPLA number but did not keep a copy or send it recorded delivery. We received the second reminder to which i responded by recorded delivery that we had already requested a POPLA number which you have ignored and asked again for it informing them that this was a recorded delivery letter (used a template from here). Today we received the response that we have failed to submit the appeal within the 28 days and therefore they are unable to review my appeal. Just checking where I go from here. Many thanks
  12. Update: Well I am not sure if they have already given up but I never got anythig else. So, 4 letters in all. All from Athena. Doesn't look like they are even bothering to pass it over to the alleged 'debt collection company'Last letter was dated 31/07/12 so I would have thought I would have had a few more 'threats' by now.Anyone else's leters stop at number 4?
  13. MissLiss - Since the last letter I got above, (2nd Aug) I haven'ty received anything, but must be due one any day. Please take the advise from those who *know* on here. I intend to ignore to the bitter end. And beyond!
  14. Just had my NOTICE OF COLLECTION PROCEEDINGS letter. Now had 4 letters, presume a few more before they realise I am not paying them a penny and go off to hassle someone else!
