Recently I received a letter from Parking Eye. They show photo proof I entered/left a ferry car park in Southampton and issued a parking charge of £110 (£75 if paid early). I replied enclosing my timed parking & ferry tickets, explaining that I did pay but clearly took longer before & after the time on the ticket to sort out children, buy tickets, etc etc. I apologised & explained it was unintentional as I didnt realise I had to pay for the perusal time/time I was still with the car.
