  1. It's been nearly three weeks and the NHS chaplain has still not been in touch with regards to funeral arrangements. I have been chasing and just get told they will be in touch. Starting to think there is a problem.
  2. About two weeks ago both myself and my wife lost our 20 week old baby. There was no amniotic flluid around the baby and were told there was a less than 5% chance of a succesful outcome. As a result we were left with little option but to go ahead with a termination. My wife and i arrived at the hospital early on Saturday morning and were told what to expect and that morphine would be available on request, which my wife welcomed. The ward that is usually used was closed for refurbishment and we were elsewhere in the hospital. A Doctor inserted tablets to bring on contractions. A couple of hours later she was having very serious contractions that lasted about two - three hours. Only nurses were on call, no midwife and we had not seen a doctor since she had the tablets. She asked for morphine but was given only gas and air. When i asked for the anaesthetist the nurses said a pethidine injection would be more suitable. By the late afternoon my wife was not having any more heavy contractions but was just extremely uncomfortable and bleeding heavily. Unfortunately there was a change of shift and the nurses were not great at keeping her comfortable. I stayed in the room with her that night and nobody came into the room all through the night to check on her. In the morning i asked when the doctor would be around and was told he was doing his rounds and should be with her about 8.00am. The doctor eventually turned up around lunch time to examine her and from his reaction it would appear the baby had almost been delivered. He then asked her to start pushing etc. I am sure that the baby had been in this position since the heavy contractions had gone the previos day which is why she had been so uncomfortable and i can't understand why a doctor or midwife had not looked at her sooner and was not with her at the time. Unfortunately the baby was delivered in a commode while she was in the loo and the commode taken away. My wife was never checked over after the delivery and the doctor said there was no need for her to be looked at. Baby was blessed and we agreed that the hospital would arrange the funeral arrangements. Nearly two weeks later and although i have been chasing no arrangements have been made and am just being told "we will be in touch". Nobody has contacted us about counciling etc and my biggest concern is that my wife has still not been looked at. I am not one to complain but do feel very let down but am not sure if this warrants complaint. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
  3. My car was stolen in February of this year and the insurance company have paid out...however i am being told that i must continue to pay the monthly instalments until my policy comes to an end. I just find it strange that i should pay insurance for a car i no longer have, any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  4. I have been with my current employers for eight years, about one year ago i lost my contract of employment. I know there are certain points in my contract that have been broken but i have never bought these to the attantion of my boss. There is a high percentage that i may be made redundant in the next couple of months, if this is the case i will bring this to their attention however with no hard copy it could be hard to prove. Does my employer have to keep a copy or am i in a no win situation. Any help much appreciated.
  5. Not sure if i have posted this in the correct forum, but here goes.... My parents split up and divorced about 10 years ago, at that point my mother bought my father out and gave him half the value of the house at that time. About two and a half years ago my fathers new wife left him and they seperated and are in the motions of divorce, they sold their house and split the money accordingly. The money he now has left over is not enough to buy him any more than a one bedroom flat and he has managed to charm his way back into my mothers house (no mortgage) where he has been for just over two years. He pays no rent but does contribute a small amount to the household bills. Unfortunately my father is an alcoholic and a womaniser and my mum has had enough and is thinking of asking him to leave She is worried that he can have a claim on the house, Any advice or help as to whether this is the case would be hugely appreciated !! Thanks
  6. I agree the HIP is a complete waste of time. I don't understand how you can blame the estate agent. You chose to put your house on the market and therefore under goverment legislation you have to have a HIP ordered to commence marketing. The Estate agent acted under your instruction, estate agents will offer the services of a HIP provider but i would be amazed if it was in their terms of business you had to use their recommendation. It's the goverment that bought this stupid thing in and if anyone is to blame its them. At least you did not change your mind about selling a few weeks later when any potential buyer could have spent thousands on solicitors and surveyors.
  7. What a complete and under waste of time !!!!! I work as an estate agent and need to vent my anger and what must be the most ridiculous, pointless piece of legislation that the labour goverment has introduced in the last 5 years... what an earth is the point of them, nobody pays any attention and every solicitor warrants them useless.. The homeowner pays in excess of £300.00 for an energy report (????????????????) and a load of searches, the purchaser's solicitor then dismisses those searches as they are from a search company and not the local authority and charges their client to do them again. Since this came in, not one prospective purchaser has requested to see a copy of a home information pack !! Would recommend scrap them altogether but for all the poor sods that have forked out thousands of pounds training themselves up to become a hip inspector, ....absolutely ridiculous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  8. My employer offers no sickness pay scheme and in my contract it makes no reference to sickness whatsoever. I'm amazed that my employer did noy make me aware that i would not be on full pay. That would have left me no choice to check out of hospital and work.
  9. I work for a small family company and have been working here for nearly twenty years, about a month ago i fell over and shattered the bones in my arm. I have had an operation and have had metal plates inserted. Am now back at work and my employer has given me statuary sick pay, given my loyalty to the company i was expecting to still be on full pay. Included in my wage pack was a copy of an email between my boss and the acccounts manager confirming how i was going to be paid. I think what has upset me more is that in the whole time i was off my boss never told me i was not on full pay. Can anyone please help and confirm whether my boss has to tell me i will not be on full pay... much appreciated.......

    Query

Abbey owe me about 5k in charges, i am at the stage to file in court but am waiting to see what the outcome of the test case is. Am i doing the right thing or could the judge award refunds to only those people who have filed at court. I have a letter form the abbey saying they won't refund any charges due to the pending test case.
  12. they just tell me the ombudsman will allow them 28 days to reslove complaint.
  13. i will phone them while the boss is out and make them aware of my intentions
  14. It's funny T mobile say fonesafe act as a seperate independant company to them and that there is nothing they can do. Fonesafe say they are a partnership to Tmobile, they have told me their is nothing they can do as they only sort out claims and don't stock the phones, they have referred me to a company called intec who are the manufactures who sent me the broken phone in the first place. It's bloody ridiculous ! I will be without a phone for up to a month whilst they fix the broken phone they sent me in the first place !!
