  1. thanks for the replies. I have also noticed that they have the wrong house number on the documentation too. I never heard from them yesterday so will call today. I was not advised of any cooling off period by Arnold Clark either.
  2. Hi, I am looking for some advice. I bought a car from Arnold Clark yesterday andthe signed vehicle order agreement. I am still awaiting to hear of approval hasbeen granted for the credit however on leaving sales room I am not happy with what’sin the agreement. Initially I was quoted a price, £167 pm that included all their extras(warranty, service, road tax, fuel and mats and VIP insurance). I said no andthe deal was lowered to £157 pm. I left and went back the following day todiscuss. They then offered £146 pm but the VIP insurance was removed and the warrantyreduced to 1 year. The service agreement was still included. I was advised a costof £136 if all extras were removed. I was also told that I would maybe get thewarranty (FOC) if it was a deal breaker. Anyways, long story short, they agreed to giving me the road tax (only £30p/a), the petrol and mats for free. We signed up. We didn’t actually get to seeanything though and did the electronic signature that they look for on thevehicle order agreement. Now looking at the agreement, I have paid the stickerprice (no discount at all), have no extras and have paid £30 road tax and £25for fuel (was initially £50 for fuel and mats). No mention of the mats. I feel like I have been done. Wherewas the £167 pm price initially from? Can I do anything? I thought I was makinga saving somewhere and do not even seem to be getting what was discussed (mats etc.).The agreement refers to Terms and conditions but none were attached. Can anyonehelp? Thanks
  3. Thanks for the replies. I have accidental damage cover and my excess is £50. I wasn't sure about the fence but the mirror and carpet should be covered. I was unsure whether I should do the two claims at one time?
  4. Hi, I just wanted to check if I can make 2-3 claims on my insurance at the same time. I need to check if my garden is covered (wind blew fence down), but apart from that I would like to make 2 claims in my bedroom. I fell off step ladders and they fell into my mirrored wardrobes cracking it. I an eye shadow pallet off my unit and it smashed off the mirrored wardrobe ledge and landed on my cream carpet. It's black and I can't lift it for love nor money. Anyway; cpuld I claim for both? Thanks
  5. The flooring was here when I moved in so not my choice. The scratch is pretty bad so filling it in wouldn't be an option. Thanks.
  6. I was wondering if anyone cpuld help me? I called Direct Line to make a claim in December only to discover I never had accidental damage on my policy. It seems when I renewed I never ticked that box despite having it in previous years. I added it all on during the call i'd originally made to make the claim. When i called I went through through the full claim with them 1st before discovering I never had the cover. I have now made a payment to my policy with the extra cover but I am un sure if I can call to make another claim (for the same reason) or if this would be "fraud" for want of a better word. To be honest, the claim was for scratching my floor and I have technically did it again but i am hesitant to call. Thanks
  7. Thanks. Don't know if it's worthwhile phoning. I don't understand why it would take so long I.e, 6 weeks like you suggest
  8. Thanks. I will phone the branch on Monday. I called the telephone banking customer services but they had no clue and advised would clear in 3-5 days even though I'd advised it had already be 14 days!
  9. Thanks. So you think it should be soon? I wasn't sure if it was because it was euros, but thought 2 weeks would be ling enough?
  10. Hi, I paid in a cheque to my account two weeks ago (clydesdale bank) for large sum. The amount payable was in Euros so obviously has to be changed over. the clerk told me this would take longer than usual as they need to money first and they would call when through but they never advised how long. Can anyone help/advise? Thanks
  11. Hi, I paid in a cheque to my account today for large sum. The amount payable was in Euros so obviously has to be changed over. the clerk told me this would take longer than usual as they need to money first and they would call when through but they never advised how long. Can anyone help/advise? Thanks
  12. Thanks. For one of them the debt was £1820 (this was the default and opening balance) and I pay £50 per month and for the other the openong balance was £8500, default balance £2704 and I pay £75 per month. The defaults seem to be the time when wescot have become involved for both.
  13. Hi, I have 2 accounts which are managed by Wescot Credit Services (Debenhams card and Halifax Loan). I have had a payment plan set up for these account for well over a year and have never missed my agreed payment. I decided to register with Noodle today, and noticed that I have defaults for every month for these accounts depite making monthly payments. Is this correct? Should I have defaults. Will they not be removed until 6 years after I have cleared the debt? Thanks for the help
  14. thanks, so you think switching to another account and having my wages and bills etc come off of that and pay towards OD from there? I still wouldn't be able to afford the fees though, and pay off the OD
