  1. Right ok back from the school run. SAR was sent to Barclaycard around May 2012 so realistically I would guess they would have dealt with it by now as they are well over the 40 days. Its another £10 spent but could someone give me the address for Barclaycard so I can resend the SAR please? Template is in the library right? Once I've done that I'll send a copy of the request to MKPD which should shut them up for a bit
  2. Haha I must be psychic! Got home to a letter from them! they still consider the account isn't in dispute as Barclaycard have no record of the SAR. Furthermore they do not consider their attempts to contact me as harassment but for the next three months any contact from them will be in writing only.
  3. Two weeks since my last post and things have gone very quiet. Minor victory I suppose. Now just waiting for a letter saying that they think the debt isn't in dispute (when it clearly is) and I need to pay up
  4. Yep sadly the fine is per parent and its at the school's discretion whether to issue the fine or not. At my son's school we have to fill out a holiday request form and the headmaster looks at them all individually. I appreciate that in your circumstances there perhaps wasn't time to make the request in advance which is probably why they have issued the fine. You have two options - pay the fine under protest and make a complaint or let them take you to Court and explain yourselves to the Magistrates. However option 2 is not guaranteed to reduce the fine, it might increase it and you might incur court costs on top
  5. Just write back to them saying you will make a payment of £10 on the 1st of each month (or whenever a suitable date is for you) and you do not feel the need to provide income and expenditure details
  6. They can't see your income and expenditure. Make the payments of £10 or whatever you can comfortably afford
  7. Did he work for the same agency? Can they provide him with a P60 (is that the one that shows his total earnings for the year?) cos they can only take 20% of what he earnt due to there being two children. If he was earning then his ex would be entitled to some money so I'm not sure why they told him he owed nothing. If he was on benefit then the maximum per week they could take was £5. Sadly rent etc is not taken into account, there are two children in the case so its 20% of his take home pay
  8. Letter sent, log looking pretty full already. Wonder how long its going to be before they work out I'm simply not going to answer the phone??
  9. I sent a letter advising I still considered the account to be in dispute as Barclaycard have ignored my SAR request and until I see statements showing how the balance has accrued I would not acknowledge or enter into any further correspondence regarding this matter. I have since discovered that MKDP do have my phone number as I am getting numerous calls per week from them. Every time I say 'in writing only' and hang up. I sent a letter at the start of February from the library asking them to remove my phone number from the dialler as the number of calls are beyond a joke, they had to sign for it and have done so but I am still getting calls. What can I do? They call off a different number each time and some are local area codes so its quite hard to dodge every call altho if I recognise the number as being them then I don't answer. Do they have a data controller I could write to and demand they stop calling/hand this matter back to Barclaycard so they can finally answer my SAR and get this matter sorted out
  10. When my ex husband disappeared without paying his share of the outstanding bills from the marital home I got a Court Summons for the Council Tax. I had to pay the full amount then claim back the fees. Its worth going into your local Council Offices and talking to someone ASAP because if it goes to Court then they will send the bailiffs which will incur more fees
  11. You could write and ask for a breakdown of the debt and what its for
  12. Did you not notice that they were continuing to pay you CA?
  13. Its now February, surely you must have chased up the request for a payment card before now?
  14. I imagine they will take a copy for their records
  15. Don't worry about it. There are such thing as random checks and if you have done nothing wrong then you have nothing to hide. Just make sure you send them the proof they have requested within the timescale and get proof of posting just in case

  17. My son already receives DLA. I think my friend got herself confused between DLA, PIP and Universal Credit.
  18. I know once Universal Credit is rolled out in my area then my son's DLA rates will change. However I've just been at a friend's house and shes been telling me that they are already making changes to DLA and that the Middle and Lower rates will be stopped soon. My son receives Middle Rate so obviously I'm a bit worried as he isn't due to be renewed for another year. Has she just got mixed up about the changes that Universal Credit will bring or is there some truth to what she is saying?
  19. Its over night contact that reduces payments
  20. Definitely check out what you are entitled too benefit wise. You have a 7 month old so at a guess I'd say you should be getting child benefit and child tax credits
  21. Yes you must declare your payrise and your change in circumstances. I think its right that your partner must be receiving child benefit for your payments to reduce but only about 90% sure on that one
  22. Her rent will go to the Housing Company as they will be her landlord
  23. I don't think so. I certainly don't get 15% of my husbands annual bonus even tho its been declared to the CSA. Carry on paying 15% as thats what the CSA (well CMS) would charge you if she went to them. If she doesn't let you see your son then you may have to seek legal advice
  24. You need to send the SB letter otherwise they will keep trying to collect the debt. Have you checked your CRA file?
