  1. Hi, Currently having an issue with Birmingham Midshire (Halifax/RBOS). House was repossessed (mortgaged for £100,000), was then sold at auction with a shortfall of £49,000 (house was valued at £110,000). While the house was up for sale we were offered £85,000 (which would have meant a shortfall of £15,000 but was told that if we accepted the offer we would have had to pay the shortfall within 3 years).
