  1. Hi BF, it has been a long time and sadly I thought this meant they had accepted my letter. to summarise; On the 1st December 2022 I sent the letter to the company. On the 8th December 2022 One of their representatives called me and asked for a copy of the letter to be emailed to him. He then called me back on receipt of the letter and since then I heard nothing. On the 15th February 2023 I received the message attached to the last post. They do now seem to suggest I owe either 3.5k or 7k. Both of which are different figures to those quoted in the past. Neither of which have a detailed explanation as to why they have come to that amount. I have calculated the numbers using quotes at the time and I do conclude that they owe me £383. But as you guessed, I am more than happy to forego that amount just to break all communication. There really is nothing else to say. It’s been so quiet since the turn of the new year as yesterday was the first time anyone has reached out. mark.
  2. Cheers for that mate. Have posted in PPI, luckily I focused on looking for documents for that rathen than retyping the letter. Only wish I had found this site before originally replying to the notice left on my window!!! And the only reason I decided I wasng going to pay was that I was in a bay and they want £80 (£120 after 7 days)!
  3. Hi everyone. I have put it off long enough and now Im venturing into reclaiming some money back for PPI. However I feel as if it is not going to be straight forward. Basically I have been trying to find out what loans I have had in the past as I have had a few but never seen them through long term. I cant recall which ones I took out online, and which over the phone although I know the Natwest one I took out in branch. So how will I find out which method I took out the Loans, which ones had PPI, and ultimately will it matter if I did take out the loan online or over the phone. From looking through paperwork and doing a search on Equifax, this seems to be what I can find, so now its just finding out if there is anything I can consider claiming for!!! JUL 2003 - AUG 2006 - Mint credit card MAY 2006 - SEP 2006 - Burton store card FEB 2007 - JAN 2009 - Stlye Finance credit card MAR 2008 - MAR 2012 - Natwest credit card JUN 2009 - MAR 2012 - Lloyds TSB credit card MAR 2004 - DEC 2004 - Alliance and leicester loan DEC 2004 - JUL 2006 - Alliance and leicester loan APR 2005 - Unknown - Alliance and leicester loan APR 2005 - MAY 2006 - Nationwide loan NOV 2005 - JUN 2006 - Nationwide loan JUN 2006 - FEB 2009 - Nationwide loan MAY 2007 - OCT 2007 - Northern Rock loan FEB 2008 - OCT 2008 - Natwest loan Any help would be appreciated, have seen the guide on MSE and if I had the one loan over a few years Im sure Id have found it easier to work out, but as my attitude was to change loans and pay them off to suite my circumstances, I'm getting a tad confused. Cheers, Mark.
  4. Yup I spent a fair few hours tonight reading details.. onto my next issue now, sorting out PPI claims!
  5. Can I assume that the only way these companies ever make any money is by people being bullied into paying then?
  6. The letter isnt readable i just noticed so i will type it out.. i have not posted enough to post a link of it.
  7. Hi Guys, New to the site and have been having a read around and there is some good info on the forums, especially considering this issue: I got a parking ticket by VCS for parking in Centertainment, Sheffield. It was for parking outside a designated bay. I do not believe I was, although the rear of the car may have been over the line behind me, but saying this there was nothing behined me to which I was obstructing. Now after reading all the advice on this forum I am firmly in the mindset to ignore them. Im pretty principle led to be honest and if I was on yellow lines etc, then fair play. But in this situation I have no time for these companies. Especially as after leaving the car I saw 3 of their staff waling round, one on their radio saying "I have a car here, they may have moved a cone, can we do them?"!!!! My question is, sadly I emailed them disputing the ticket straight away, and I have replied to their response saying they will uphold the charge. On at least one of these occasions I said I had parked the car, only now do I realise I should have kept quiet, but ho hum thats life. Will this make much difference in terms of me ignoring them? Below is a pic of where I parked: This is the pathetic letter they sent me which must be one of their generic letters as it goes on about my permit, which seems to have no bearing on the situation? Cheers for any help and advice, will keep you all updated, hopefully despite me saying I did park the car (albeit in a place I saw as no problem) I will be able to ignore this issue unitl it goes away. Thanks, Mark.
