  1. Hi. I'm a little perplexed over a couple of the spreadsheets on here. I've just used the Redress Calculation Under FOS Rules one and it produced the following figures: Monthly Cost of PPI £1018.65 Compound Interest £191.40 8% Simple Interest £123.27 Total £1333.32 I have put the same figures into the Compound Interest Calculator one and it produced the following figures: Total of Charges (Amount of PPI) £1020.14 Compound Interest £5193.68 Total £6213.82 Has anybody got any idea as to why the difference in the Compound Interest is so much. Many thanks for any ideas. Jedicris.
  2. Hi davwaz, There are several different spreadsheets on here, all of which have been designed to meet varying needs. I would suggest looking the stickeys above for latest spreadsheets to ensure that the one you are using is the most appropriate for your needs. The one I used to start with was this one: CIsheet V101 - it is fairly straightforward to use. Just enter the date of the statement and the amount of PPI in the relevant columns and appropriate start from date i.e. date account opened/date of first statement the claim to box should automatically update, (once you have enabled editing) and an appropriate interest rate. Take care to only enter data in the mauve columns and boxes I hope this helps and if I've got my wires crossed I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction. Jedicris.
  3. Hi davwaz, I'm very new here myself (just a few days) and have been working my way through preparing a claim. Based on that, to me, it looks as though your interest claim is very low. Check that you are using an appropriate rate of interest i.e. 23.9% and that the claim date is todays date. That is what I have seemed to discover and been advised of. Jedicris.
  4. Hi dx, Thanks for that. So seperate claims for PPI and Penalty Charges. OK I did use the runningfos spreadsheet to calculate some of the figures but was concerned that the figures seemed OK. Many thanks, Jedicris
  5. Supplemental Question. Do I claim until the debt went to DMP or to date I send claim in. Thanks. Jedicris.
  6. Hi, I'm looking for some clarification for a claim I'm putting together against Barclaycard. Background: Took out CC in 2000, ran into problems in 2008 and ended up setting up a DMA (Free One) and been making payments since. Position so far. Have found all possible statements (still a couple of years missing) and using them have added up all PPI payments made. = £2534.20. Using one of the spreadsheets available on here (thank you) have calculated interest. =£7905.55. Does that sound right? Have also worked out that not paying the PPI would have meant that I would not have exceeded my credit limit, so have claimed back overlimit charges. = £132.00 Have calculated interest on overlimit charges. =£184.82 Have also roughly calculated how much extra interest I paid by having the PPI. =£1358.94. Have calculated interest on the extra interest paid. =£2796.54. Also, I have calculated that at the time my CC was transferred to a DMP, my balance would be a lot lower. Should I also seek reduction of the DMP by the difference in the balance. Does this sound right? Many thanks for you help. If not for this forum, I would not have been able to do this. Info in table format below. Reclaim of PPI £ 2,534.20 Interest on Reclaimed PPI £ 7,909.55 Reclaim Incorrectly Applied Overlimit Charges £ 132.00 Interest on Reclaimed Overlimit Charges £ 184.82 Reclaim of Excess Interest Charged £ 1,358.94 Interest on Excess Interest Charged £ 2,756.94 Total of Claim £ 14,876.44

  8. Hi, My first post here. I hope somebody can help me. I have just discovered some old credit card statements from BANK1ONE with an address of PO Box 315, Cardiff and noticed there were some PPI payments on them. Is it worthwhile trying to claim this back and if so does anybody know what happened to Bank One and how where to send a claim. Many thanks Jedicris The force has left me.
