  1. 2 defaults from 2012, and 4 from January 2015 when I went onto my DMP.
  2. Hi I have applied for a CTC for a job transfer. I am currently in a DMP which I have been in for over a year and a half and have not missed any payments. I have a number of defaults as a result of getting into financial difficulty a couple of years ago, however I have declared on my CTC that I have been in financial difficult but have now been on this DMP.. .. will this affect my CTC? I have no CCJs etc, just defaults (more than 3). But I have been honest with them and showed that I have taken steps and in a better position as a result!
  3. Thanks. Did they offer you the job first or state that you were turned down due to credit?
  4. I have applied for a job with lloyds (halifax section)..i was very honest on my application as i have 2 defaults on my credit file from payday loans from last year. Both paid off and i have got myself back on track finance wise. As i said was very open from the start and also said during my interview about them and was told it was better to be honest (which i had done!!) Anyway.. i know they do a credit check but how strict are they? I have no ccjs etc and have taken control of my finances again. Im just worried as if they offer me the job i know it is subject to the checks, and leaves me in the lurch with my current work..i dont want to hand in my notice just to be told ive failed the credit check. Anyone have any experience?
  5. PDE are asking for £120 as a double payment to include julys payment.
  6. hi guys. have posted before about other payday lenders. i have managed to pay off pduk, minicredit and pounds2pocket.. i now only have PDE and wonga left to pay off. unfortunately i lost my job as the start of july. i had money in my account for PDE at the end of july however they never lifted the money. Im currently trying to talk both wonga and PDE to lowering my payment plans as when they were both made i was employed. PDE have said if i dont make a payment of £120 by the 31st august, it will be passed to their legal team... wonga want me to pay £80, however i have been in email contact with them and hoping they will lower it. but im really worried about PDE. i told them at the time I had lost my job and he said it didnt matter i had a payment plan... (which was made when i was employed) and it could be changed. he said i was already so many days overdue on the payment plan and once 31st passed, it would be passed to their legal team.... what on earth do i do?! im terrified?! im actually more scared of this £240 debt i have with them than i was with any other company... what do i do?! any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  7. thats what im worried about. i did ask to have an email sent to me.... still not through yet. if not will send them an email yet again, though they are completely ignoring my emails at the minute.
  8. so i had a repayment arrangement set up with these guys and they lifted more than they should have (should have lifted £60) and after constant emails with no replies i gave in and rang them this morning after £75 was taken from my account without my permission... actually got this solved fairly quickly which is why im so suspicious. i though they had only lifted about £80 extra... turns out they lifted over £140 extra and they are supposedly going to refund this today.... whats the likelyhood they do? nothing ever seems to go smoothly with these guys and i did tell them the money was required today as i need to buy food to which i got its up to your bank to put it in today heres hoping it appears!
  9. no thats not movement. basically you are making payments and interest is still being added, and only after 3 months will they look for a full and final settlement offer? well thats how i read it. refuse to budge. tell them £40 a month with interest stopped.
  10. so Monday came and went, and they didn't take my money so I will take it as being settled woop woop!! Now just 3 more to go- Minicredit- due to be fully settled end of June, PDE- who are completely rubbish, and Wonga- who I will be repaying off until October. but I'm almost free!!
  11. hold firm. i got sorted quickly with opos- though i know others didnt. Stick to your guns about the figure you want.
  12. Hi guys. just as I get one payday company out of the way, another starts to muck me around. PDE refused to rollover my loan, and when I explained my financial situation that emailed back stating they agreeed I could not pay the loan and to email their collections team. 5 emails later to the collections team and still no reply. I have been trying to set up a repayment plan. However they are ignoring me completely. So today I check my bank account and they have taken £100 (my loan outstanding is £300) and have taken me £75 into an unauthorised overdraft and left me with nothing to feed my daughterand me on for the next week. I have sent them an emailing stating this and said if they lift any more money without my knowledge, then I will be involving the police. I also stated their ignoring of my emails even though they accepted that I couldn't pay was unacceptable. Told them I will be getting fos and oft involved and I expect to hear back from pde before today is over. I'm more annoyed that they agreed I couldn't pay it back, and have still taken money.
  13. Should I contact them and say due to the conversation I had earlier (and send them a copy of the chat- used the option to send to my email once conversation finished) I consider it settled in full and will be making no further payments? I didn't say anything to them about a payment in June (ever!!) so don't understand where they plucked that from.
  14. Ok even more confused. Contacted them and was told the account was settled and I should have had an email after my last payment and they would get collections to resend it. However the email states thank you for your listed payment. Recorded payoff payment of £160.45 on 6/6/2012 via settled in full for loan no. Xxxxxxx. This payment still pending on your account on the listed date, once processed you will see the account updated online, to reflect the payment. What does that mean? If its settled it's settled? Have a copy of the chat which they state that it is settled, so don't understand what this email means? From what I can understand it isn't settled and needs payment in June?? Help!
  15. So do I pay my repayment arrangement as planned or not? Due Monday?
  16. Hi guys I defaulted on my loan with pounds to pocket aka quick quid a few months ago. Since then I have been paying off te loan through a repayment agreement that is due to end next month. I keep a tight eye on my credit file and until today it stated my loan had defaulted. But now it has moved to the closed accounts and says that it's settled. I'm really confused. Is it settled or not? If they have on my account settled can they go back and change it? I'm lost completely.
  17. Yes I know that already. Had also told FOS that too. Suspicious how they managed to drop all the fees etc after I complained to FOS. But shows that it can be done!!
  18. I'm not sure. I had been keeping the fos up to date with all the communication between me, minicredit and then Opos more recently. Minicredit sent the fos a "response" and cc'd me into it which basically told them i agreed to a legally binding contract and I knew all the charges/interest before I started. however they lied and said i didn't try to contact them. They stated in the letter the lowest they could settle for would be £470 which was just the interest on the account (in other words I had £1300 of other charges!!). I then emailed Opos yesterday as I had 2 missed phone calls from them stating the fos were involved. I had no response so rang them today to ensure I would receive no phone calls. They knew I had a complaint with fos and had all the information in front of them (so very clearly linked with minicredit) and dropped the figure straight away when I said I wouldn't pay the settlement that minicredit had offered and I was sure the fos would feel the same. So not sure if the fos had time to comment on the case or not (lodged my complaint in february, but minicredit only responsed last week to them!!), however either way, it spooked them enough to settle for near enough what I had been requesting the whole time! have now sent an email to fos stating what's happened, so waiting to hear a final response from them. but im defiantely a happy bunny today!
  19. Also thought I'd state that the David Roberts who signed this letter is also the person who signed my letter from Opos.
  20. looks like you have done the most of what you can. now you just have to sit back and wait. they will tell the fos that the £100 doorstep collector charge is for debt recovery fees (sending letters, phonecalls etc) which is a pile of rubbish, but stick to your guns. have you repaid anything on your loan yet?
  21. The one thing I learnt throughout all this- NEVER EVER use a payday loan ever again!! no matter how desperate I am, I won't fall into the trap! MiniCredit were the lowest of the low, and denied I had even contacted them, despite the fact I had sent proof to the fos. Don't pay their crazy figures and ensure when you do eventually get a figure you want (I had said the whole time I would settle for £200- but £240 was close enough for me!!) make sure it's what you can afford, and make them split it over if its suits. So far I have 1 payday loan fully paid off, with another being fully paid off as of this time next month, and then Minicredit the month after. Then I shall be free!!!
  22. what was your original loan amount? i dont think ive ever heard of minicredit setting up a hardship account before!! keep emailing, keep copies of everything. i never got anywhere with minicredit. only got somewhere when i went to deal with Opos. Minicredit refused to budge.
  23. Hi everyone After much trying I finally managed to settle my account with MiniCredit today. I took out a £240 loan that was due to be repaid in November and due to financial circumstances, I was unable to pay it back. By December I had paid back £250 but by this stage I still supposedly owed over £1000!!! Much to-ing and fro-ing and MiniCredit refused to budge. I lodged a complaint with the FOS and my account was passed onto OPOS. Today, I finally settled for another £240 split over 3 payments. The guy at OPOS was very understanding today, and unlike MiniCredit who were adamant that they could go no lower than £470 (that was their response to FOS, I managed to get it down. So anyone who is fighting, keep on fighting! I supposedly owed £1700 today, you can do it! I never thought I'd see an end , but today I have!
