My son has received a written offer to settle the outstanding amount of his debt for a 10% payment. Circa £390. His repayments are up to date. Is the offer likely to be genuine. The letter is headed Westcot and the phone number appears to be theirs. If he is making timely repayments why would they make him such an offer and how can he verify it is genuine? As a family we do not answer calls from unsolicited and unknown callers. Could they be trying to establish contact using this letter to induce him to contact them?
