  1. Hi I work for the NHS my line manager has told our department that we can only book our leave one month before we want it e.g If I want my two weeks leave in July I cant ask for it until June which leaves it a bit late to book anything as we may not get an answer until two weeks before the holiday date Also if there is a problem with to many staff booking the same days , we have to fight amongst ourselves as to who is having it regardless who booked first Does anyone know if there is a set criteria for notice periods when booking block leave in the NHS or is it up to your manager to make the rules up
  2. Most they can take is 40% of your take home pay , i have no idea what you earn so i dont know if this is what they are already doing but 40% is the max
  3. I,m paying my arrears back in monthly payments they will take monthly payments they have no choice if you wont give them a lump sum , ( if your not weak with them and grow some ) they can only take 40% of your wages which they did to me they even offered to lower it which i refused Mine will be paid in a year to be honest i use to co operate with them and got no where , know i don,t co operate with them at all and we all get on better and yes two years is a guideline not the law but they are or think they are above the law
  4. Just read that link i would think you are correct that a court order is invalid , beside that what can she do anyway the CSA will have that info so she would only be telling them what they already know
  5. Legally im not sure but i would have thought so , CSA Have trampled all over the court orders that were set up , just call her bluff Peter word of advice change your mobile number , if she comes around your house call the police they will remove her , restraining order
  6. As she decided to go through the CSA you have no obligation to produce any P60 to her , as she decided to go through the CSA they now call the shots they decide how much you pay and how you pay not your ex wife The minute my ex wife decided that the CSA were a more lucrative option the game changed Much the same as you i had a decent job in the criminal justice system we agreed a payment figure that i should make monthly plus add on,s school bus , trips and the such like , the price for not going through the CSA was she kept the proceeds from the sale of the house to pay a deposit on a smaller house for her and the children for three years it worked well Then i was made redundant i managed to get a new job at a supermarket , i then worked out the % and altered the standing order to pay the exact same % that i had previously paid 20% (5% less than the CSA would have took) Not good enough for her it seemed CSA contact me tell me the new figure slightley more than i was already paying From that day i pay what i,m told by the CSA i do what they tell me i pay nothing else no bus no trips no shoes no extras that would go into my ex wifes account the CSA are in charge My wages, what i spend, where i go are nothing to do with her i pay my CSA as far as im concerned she is nothing more than my hired help My kids come to see me when they like, i have no contact with my ex at all When the children complain about mum wont buy me this, that and the other , i simply say i give your mum £121 a week towards your up keep what she does with that money is entirely up to her The CSA are what they are i for one find it stressful dealing with them , but when its sorted its done and alot less stressful listening to some bitter and twisted ex banging on when things have gone sh** for her in her love life
  7. At long last they have a monthly figure for me to pay it took them from Oct 2011 to March 2013 , however they are taking 40% of my income to pay off the arrears that they created On a brighter note my ex has brought herself a 50inch 3D TV with money she will be getting In 12 months it will drop to 25% i make sure as im on a bonus system my wages stay exactly the same as when i was assessed
  8. I have they said that , they would ring me back with an amount when they have calculated it if i was as efficient as the CSA i wouldnt have to worry about the payments as i,d have been sacked by now
  9. No they havn,t even contacted me , sorry to be curt but i am aware of my responsibility regarding the financial welfare of my children and the need for the backpayment to be paid but bankrupting myself and being forced to live on benefits to have my rent paid doesnt help my children, myself or the tax payer
  10. Still no contact from CSA ,my employer recieved a letter last week asking for pay information , this is info that i had already sent to them via wage slips that they had asked for and have since returned to me
  11. Is it correct that the old system takes inti account your partners income if so how do you know if your on the old system is it before a certain date
  12. Hii i was paying or am paying my child support and have paid every month since the order was made in Oct 2011 , two months into the order in Dec 2011 my ex decided to have my income reassesed , i sent off my three wage slips wich they recieved and returned in Jan 2012 I heard nothing more about it and continued to pay the required amount then in June2012 i recieved another request for re assesment which i sent again three more wage slips then in July 2012 i was sent a new figure which i have to pay which is a £44 per month increase the letter stated that a payment schedule would be forwarded to me shortly This amount is for the original re assesment from Dec 2011 , does anyone know my options for re paying , or appealling against the under payments as 8 months back payments have been loaded onto me through no fault of my own , also i still have the second re assesment stil going through Thanks
  13. I Have a £3500 cedit card debt with NMBA a repayment plan was set in place of £20 per month which i paid every month after about six months they transfered the debt to a DCA experto credite They contacted me and the payments remained at £20 a month after six months i have recieved a letter asking me to ring them to discuss the payment plan i assume this would be to try to extract more money from me i have ignored their request now receiving a phone call per day to my mobile which i am also ignoring until i receive advice i am reluctant to speak to them again Should i write to them offering to pay the same amount or just ignore and keep paying the £20 per month the calls i get dont bother me as i just listen to the ring tone and ignore Thanks
  14. Is it fair to say that if you are offered a discount at the first point of contact by a DCA then the debt is unlikley to be taken to court or is unenforceable
  15. as i pay by direct debit do they have to give me notice that my payment is going up or is it the case that i get a letter on the 31st saying its going up x amount plus the arrears and it goes out on the 1st as per usual without having a chance to sort out a payment plan for the arrears
  16. go and see your MP they dont like that sorted my brother in laws problems out with them
  17. I Have browsed this forum and picked up some valuable information , one thing that puzzles me is if you owe say barclaycard some money , why do they sell the debt on to a DCA to collect the money rather than just take you to court themselves , and also i have seen on some threads that the sum of over £5000 is relevant why is this Thanks in Advance
  18. I Have always paid my CSA i have no problem with supporting my children , however i am in the process of being re assesed , as i earn more i would expect to pay more again i have no problem with this As they have asked for 3 wage slips (one of which that i dont have ) there will inevitably be a delay as i,m told that the new rate will run from when the reassesment was requested approx four weeks at present My question is do i have to pay the arrears of in full or can i be given time to pay in installments if i can pay in installments is there a time limit that it should be paid in eg 6months, a year ,etc Thanks in advance
  19. Hi sorry for hi jacking this thread but i have read this and am interested to know if you have settled a debt with a DCA with a debit card how would you stop them being able to use the information you have given them to pay another debt they might buy in the future
