I'm hoping that somebody might be able to help me. Many years ago I had a chargecard with Marks and Spencers and when I applied for it I took out the PPI on it. I have it in the back of my mind that it was £9 a month. I first got this card in 1992 and when my husband retired in 1999 I paid the the card off. I was a nurse at the time and had plenty of savings and other means available. I saw a report on tv the other night that said nurses and the police didn't have to have PPI because they were employed by the government. Is it worth me trying applying for the money back? It seems an awful long time ago but if I didn't need it then why shouldn't I have it back? Thank you Janet
