  1. I would say this has happened over the last 5 to 6 yrs aprox. 10 to 15 visits on different tickets, the charges have ranged from £300 to £900 and all have been on parking tickets, I have very few of the receipts left, but was hoping (maybe) i could get the dates and various amounts from the bailiffs and then trace these back via bank statements and contacting the councils. I know this would not be ideal, but non of the original fines have been for more than £220, yet the balifit fees have varied wildly. I have always paid on the 1st visit, or made an arrangement to pay asap, never been towed, always just 1 guy, a clamp and a very steep fine. i did not even think i could do anything about these fines, so just wrote them off as my mistake. I really wish i had paid more att. as i have meant so many doggy bailiffs it is untrue.
  2. Thank you for you reply, An example of one of my fines is, an outstanding amount of £220.00 the balifit visited and charged a total of £453.74 on a 1st visit. Dose this mean, unless i have paperwork for each fine, i would not be able to claim anything? Thanks
  3. Stupidly i have had many parking fines, and resulting balifit fees, i am now a reformed driver and have paid off all but £700. However i estimate i have paid over £4000 in bailiff fees over the past 6 years, having just found this forum i am now wondering if i would be able to claim any of this back. I have had bailiff turn up at my door, saying the have been twice already (they haven't) and demanding £600, the last visit, i had an outstanding fine on an arrangement to pay, was due to pay the last £100 and forgot (i am trying too deal with a number of debts, no excuse but i forgot) the bailiff arrived and charged and additional £220 for the visit. I know this is my own fault, but surely this is excess? As i have only started facing up to all of this, i do not have all of the information for each and every fine (i think it is actually way over £4000, but i am being very conservative as i don't have the paper work), will this stop me claiming there fees back? i would have to rely on the information the companies provide through an subject releas form? Also how far back would i be able to claim (if at all), all of the fines were related to parking and dealt with by companies such as Equita, Newleys, CCS etc, are these the type of bailiffs i can claim from? Thanks for all and any advice, I am new to all of this and it's a lot of information to take on board, but claiming anything back would really help me on my road to being debt free! Thanks x
