  1. Hi Thanks for this. What information do you need. I have had emails sent to my work address threating with the visitation to my property. Currently 4 emails. Regards
  2. Hi, Not sure this is right place, please move it needs be. I have had issues like the rest with MMF, emails to my work, texts etc... I had them phone me at work, i work in a call centre, how they did that I have no idea so I had no option but to deal with them about outstanding PDL with uncle buck, nice enough guy on the end but got the usual run around, my question is that they will not accept STO's and have to only accept card details which I am assuming is not correct they have to accept any type of payment ?,mdont want them in my account because they will rob me blind as I have had done before, regards of this guy saying diffently. Also had the usual visit at Door threat as well, apperently thy have now legal process that allows these guys to access your property, goods and chattels and no the police can't stop them, really is that now true?, and finally i have tried to contact uncle buck to deal with them directly, but they refuse to deal with me and state some legal jargon saying its in the hands of MMF, again is that correct?. any advise please. Do I give them an account that I control so only the amount we agree upon is in the account so they can't take any more than that agreed amount?. I want rid of this debt and these ugly sharks, where's the what dogs on these guys. Regards Simon
  3. Hi, I wonder if someone could please give me some advise to this above. I have or at least it is suggested I have an outstanding balance with then Abbey National somewhere around 1992 ish, can't be certain but for sure it's over 10 years. Only now have via Lowells then Hamptons which I believe are part of the same business or group. I have no idea if this is by default statued barred or not, is there a way to find out?. And for sure I can't see it on my Cedit Report on all three of them, and strangely enough I now bank with Santader but got my account running no problems. They are using I guess threat tactics in these letters of theirs, so say they are considering court action, and I will be ordered to pay them, I assuming they know they are going to win, and have it take from my wages, so effectively for two and bit months have no income. Nice.. They are also trying to be nice guys and offering a discount of 25% so paying at least £30 pm. I owe according to these guys £2252.55. I have no idea of the amount that was supposed to be in the account as it was closed down and I moved elsewhere to another bank then closed that one as I moved to Australia for short time before returning and starting with Woolwich then Barclays. So my question is to I replyntonthese guys stating about statued barred ?, I know you have templates with these on it, but is it better via post recorded delivery or email not sure not going to ring them as I know in will get heated. This type of thing is happening to another a count that is over 6 years as well and I have Credit services on my back as well. Can they do anything in this regards, bankrupt me, come to my door and take anything they like to that value. Any advise please for my peace of mind. Kind Regards
  4. Guys, Thank you all, I will look into this in more detail see when and if the letter was actually sent, if not then LGO, if I don't get anywhere.
  5. Hi Estellyn. Thank you for your reply, the only thing I have from the Local Council is a customer invoice remainder and have 7 days in which to repay the full amount from the date on the letter which was written on the 11th of this month. I received it yesterday - Saturday 15th. not much time left which i guess is their aim to panic people into paying, which I don't have that much to spare, Simon
  6. Hi, I have just received from my local council a overpayment Invoice for £1267.52. I am mystrified to why since I was on Income Support/JSA until I commenced work in 2008. I informed all concerned about this and all seemed well until now. I see how they can make this decision 4 years down the line, and demand this from me. I have tried to contact them via the conatct call centre and the local council offices, which the first I may no contact as I was hung up on or left on hold for ages, and the people in the office simply stated they cant help you have to go through the call centre, which I pointed out they are not helping.. Can they do this this far down the line ?, I know about the Statues Barred etc.. but this would not apply to this, where do I go with this? , as I have had these supposed council guys at my door before and about repoing my car as I had not paid my fine, which I had but in a payment plan which they didnt even look up until I showed them and they looked on their system and confirmed it, they said they could take what they wanted with out court orders etc.. ?, is that true they are above the law in this respect ?, I have my doubts but I am worried that this may again happen ?. So any advise please would I would be most grateful. Regards
  7. Thank you for your reply and the template as well, of which I shall dispatch, to them and also to OFT as well. It seems that the run up to the festive period seems to trigger a boat load of these types of things, I have another one which I know is paid off and passed 6 years but still Credit Solutions Ltd in Purley, also is reg office of Cougar Ltd, oddly, seem to think they can also put the so called "frighteners" on people, and get me to pay twice. They even went as far to say they have been in touch with Barclaycard and willing to settle at a reduced figure, which via Barclaycard - offshore I might add not very helpful or interested, was the figure of £597.98, this was sometime ago I inquired about this since I was getting text messages from BC, the agent was saying pay me now or figuratively speaking get lost. In both cases I have not acknowledged or contacted them the DCA, therefore this is first contact so to speak. Regards
  8. Hi, Hope I am sitting in the right forum for this one. I am like the rest in this forum having fun with said company - not. They are chasing me for an account with AN before they became Santander, that I had oh some 10-13 old years ago, which was closed before I went to Australia in 2000. I never banked again with them unfortunately went the Woolwich then Barclay's, but that's a hold different story. Their letter seems to infer that they have no intention of writing or dismissing this debt. there words are "We have no intention of writing off this debt and therefore you need to make an arrangement to pay" i guess on a payment plan. Is this within the letter of the law, strong arm tactics like this ?, also does this debt not fall into the Status Limitations and can not be recovered by these companies?. I am confused by the law and what it states and how to respond?. if anyone can give me some advise, pointers I would be grateful.
  9. Hi there, just a question about looking at older debt on these CRA sites that are older than 6 years. I am being badgered by to DCA that have bought these old debts and are causing issues which i will address in other forums. Any advise or pointers would be gratefully received. Regards
  10. Hi guys, Bit of a strange one for you and hopefully you can help me out. I have had a loan with these guys, which was paid off therefore allowed me to take another if needed, unfortunately a death in family thus forced my hand to take one which was duly excepted and money gratefully received. Now unknown at this time the monies of the loan previously had been made avaibable to wonga to pick up, for some unknown reason the bank reports they didn't do this. Although wonga say they did its on the record, and if they had not then I would not have this 2nd loan. Now I had to roll this over into November , which was fine which they accepted and duly took the fee for this , great so far, but then whilst looking over my bank statement the monies that were allocated in September were taken out in November !!. Now after a discussion and a half with bank and wonga blaming each other I found this information out about them taking 2 months to do this. Now question is this :- are they allowed to do this because it knocks my budget out of the window, is there a law that prevents this?, my worry is that they can do this at there timing without recourse to yourselves which lands you in all sorts of issues in regards to money flows. What they did was not except able by any means and pt. me out by £227. I have faxed details to wonga who keep unsurprising loosing the stuff, although did managed to get someone to accept this which was acknowledge but that was some time ago and when I ring I get the usual stock answer it's processing we'll be in touch. Any advise would be. Fanastic. Regards
