  1. My son's insurance company has bumped up his premium, 3 months into the 12 months because they say the premium should have been based on the date he started driving this car and the date it was registered to him. The car was previously mine for 10 years and he drove it frequently and was often insured on it so he wrote that he had been driving it for 6-7 years (which is true). However that does not wash with them - they care not what date he started driving or what insurance he has held, just the date this car went into his name (12 months ago). i rang the AA for advice and they were flummox
  2. My son's insurance company has just wacked up his premium - 3mnths in to the 12months - they say the date he started driving this car and it was registered to him is what matters! Yes - not the date he started driving nor the date he first got insurance (he has had another car before and sent proof of his ncb through to them). As he used to drive the car a lot through the 10 years it was mine, he wrote that he had driven it for 6 or 7 years, which is how he understood the question. He cannot afford the new premium but cannot cancel without a £320 fine. Has anyone ever heard of an insuranc
