When Egg closed 160,000 card accounts the agreement was that all that was required was for the minimum amount each month to be paid until the debt was cleared, even though interest was still being accrued. This was happening fine until the sale of Egg Credit Cards to Barclaycard. Now it seems that the debt has been transferred to Barclaycard but I have not had any letters or emails advising me what to do. I just hope that Barclaycard don't start coming after me for more money or pass the debt onto a Debt Collection Agency.

Does anyone have any idea how Barclaycard are dealing with outstanding debts on card accounts which Egg closed a few years ago? I have always paid the monthly amount by Direct Debit and never missed a payment. Now when I log onto the Egg website my accounts have dissapeared and it says check the Barclaycard/egg website. This I did but it did not mention anything about my kind of outstanding debt. Anyone got any ideas what's going on?
