  1. Thanks for that Hedgey, thankfully I have it under control now, I had a long chat with powergens managment, I was quite firm and told them that it was their problem, they should sort it with Npower and if they didnt I would complain to every consumer complaints programs etc and make it very public at how they treat their customers. Well it seems to have worked, I hope. Yesterday I got a call from powergen stating that they have spoken to Npower and have agreed to let me go over to powergen on the condition I pay my debt off over a period of time which I have just paid a lump sum off, sad to say it was the gas money I had saved up but thats Powergens fault, they have as well agreed to compensate me, I dont know how much but I hope its worth the stress that put me through. so RESULT!!!!!!
  2. I will try and make this as brief as possible but give out as much detail as I can. Last year I changed from Npower to Powergen as Npower had mucked my account up so much leaving me distressed by it all and not owing as much as they had first billed due to outrageous continuous mistakes, threatening letters to take me to court etc and damaging my credit status no end. So June of last year I transfered my account over to Powergen... I had my welcome pack account numbers, I was promised payment cards so that I could pay my bill on a weekly basis etc and was also told by a very nice man after telling him my ordeal with Npower that they dont work like that and he assured me that if I ever had a problem they would deal with it straight away. They put me on their disabled customers list so that I was priority in case thing did go wrong etc. SORTED !!!! so I thought. No cards arrived even though I have requested them on many occasions, and then I find out in the September that they had taken the wrong meter account and took the flat belows account over instead. No one checked that the flat below is a prepayment meter where as mine is not. Powergen knew this and failed to tell me until I called them yet again after having spoken to the occupants below that some one had changed their supplier, the penny dropped and I called Powergen straight away and was told that not only will I be compensated for their mistake but they will rectify it ASAP and assured me that I was their customer. I got a bill in the October from Npower that was never sent to me via my email account or by mail because of the mix up "apparently" but I eventually received it the other day plus a bill from the october to the beginning of January for a huge amount that I am going to struggle to pay and have been put on a payment plan with Npower stretching out over 6 months, so Im stuck with them until then, but my Gas is with Powergen, Because of the 'mix up' and the bill I now owe Npower is refusing to let me go as a customer until my full bill is paid up. So im now losing out on the discounts on both companies for having both my gas and electricity with separate companies. I cant go back to Npower for my gas as I havnt received a bill from Powergen yet from as far back as June and was told today from powergen one will be sent out shortly and was told I wouldnt be able to change from them until the bill has been paid on the account also. I feel that I am now stuck between a rock and a hard place and no where to turn. I stopped paying my weekly amounts to Npower as I was told I was no longer their customer, and as Powergen told me to wait until I get my first bill from them to pay for the electricity as they will put me on a budget scheme to pay weekly amounts I havnt put the money aside, stupid I know, I have put some aside for the gas and am thinking should I pay what I have off the electric bill for Npower and powergen can swing for their bill until they get it sorted or just sit tight and pay off as arranged with Npower and be stuck with them for a further 6 months. I dont want to be with either of these companies now but Im stuck with them paying for their mistake literally, and losing out on any discounts. Ive not been compensated because they wont compensate me until I am with Powergen with both gas and electric but I feel that I will be in debt with Npower for a long time as as soon as I have payed the debt to them my next bill will be due, I cant afford to pay this as I am on benefits and live on the bread line already. Is there anything I can do about this Im so angry that these companies treat people like this its reduced me to tears. Any help/suggestions will be fully appreciated
  3. I had the same in mine, NPAS pointed out the same mistakes on three PCN's and following paper work spanning over 6 months, Told the head of parking services to correct them in future issued PCN's and paperwork The head of P/S said he would and would talk to his staff dealing with these and get them up to scratch. my mother won her appeal 6 months before that on the same mistakes. 6 weeks ago I get another 2 PCN's, I wrote into appeal them and they were canceled. I wonder why . It seems to me that councils will try and get away with it where they can, more people will pay up and shut up then those who fight back so the council is on a winner here. Councils knowingly do this and if thats not corruption then some one tell me what is
  4. did the signs say that you could not park there at the times G&M said
  5. If the councils deliberately ignore the the regulations that are set out by the government, which I know from personal experience they do then I would call that corrupt.
  6. So basically are you saying repetitive incompetence and ignorance is acceptable?
  7. G&M if councils deliberately ignore the regulations that are set out by the government, it is corruption for what ever gains, we can accept the odd mistake, but making the same mistakes over and over again by the same people in the same departments are not acceptable. The councils are responsible for their actions and they must also abide by the law, which most if not all in one way or another dont. corruption noun Degrading, immoral acts or habits: Departure from what is legally, ethically, and morally correct: A term that offends against established usage standards:
  8. I suppose you would have to take them to a small claims court
  9. How can you expect Joe Public to adhere to 'The rules' when councils break them constantly by not following the rules and regulations that are set out by the government.
  10. Found this and thought it would be very helpful especially the parts about PPC's and clamping Tickets issued by private companies Private companies can issue tickets to drivers parked on their property, but the rules are not the same as local authorities. If you receive a ticket in a private car park, such as a supermarket car park, or private multi-story car park, remember that it is not criminal law, but contract law that applies. The driver enters into a contract with the landowner when they driver into the car park. This means that it is only the driver that can be subject to a ticket from a private company. If they do not know who the driver was, they cannot claim a penalty. They have no legal right to demand that you identify the driver. If you are approached by a member of staff inside a private car park there is no obligation for you to assist them in any way If the company wish to pursue a claim in the small claims court, they have to prove that you were the driver of the car. Any comments that you make may assist them in this aim, so best to say nothing. If you refuse to pay, the private company has to pursue you through the small claims court. It is up to them to prove a breach of contract so look at the terms carefully. These are usually printed on a sign at the entrance to the car park. Additionally, you may be able to reduce any fine issued by a private company. Under contract law, they can only claim for any loss they have suffered because of your offence. They may try to claim a penalty of, say, £100, but in law they may only be entitled to any revenue they had lost. So, if you pay £2 to park for one hour, but stay for three hours, they can only claim for two hours of lost revenue, which is £4. Clamped by a private company Different rules apply if you are clamped by a private company for parking on private land. If you are clamped, you should ring the number the company provides to release your car. Do not damage the clamp as this would be criminal damage. Check that the company has a license from the Security Industry Authority by calling 08702 430 100. A 15-digit Security Industry Authority number should appear on the receipt they give you when you pay up. If they are not licensed, report them to the police. Areas where private clampers operate still have to display warning signs that are clearly visible. Take pictures of the signs if you feel they are inadequate and complain to the Security Industry Authority. Fight your parking ticket - how to appeal your parking fine | This is Money there is some good advice for both PCN's & PPC's tickets If this has been posted before then I apologise
  11. Sometimes having them certified is a good thing it means they can be punished through the proper channels Im so sorry to hear about this its awful, I often wonder who the bigger bullies are some times the bailiffs or the councils, or even in fact who is leading who, getting fighting your case with any one and every one who can get involved there are more than you think and the people on here are great, if it wasnt for these people I wouldnt be at the stage of my complaint I am now believe me you will see the light at the end of the tunnel and you will get the justice you so rightly deserve Big huge hug
  12. ha is that how you answer when you have no answers .. Ive done my growing up thank you .. green and mean certainly suits you
  13. and i didnt call you pathetic I called your posts pathetic .. get it right
  14. oh really and pray tell me how it apples to me I dont judge every one guilty as you do just because they get some sort of parking fine etc
  15. go suck an egg You tire me sometimes reading your pathetic posts.. maybe you should go get a life instead of making others miserable with your ramblings of high and mighty statements .. just because you dont drive a car dosnt mean we dont have to.. you seem to spend your life on here slating others for small misdemeanors .. go join greenpeace they need people like you
  16. Id complain to them demanding an explanation .. cheeky bar-stewards
  17. so if the fine is £60 you pay that amount if paid within 14 days its discounted to £30. after an appeal hearing its still £60 unless the appeal is upheld.
  18. and they certainly do 'foul up' on many occasions, If your appeal is to NPAS the charge stays at £60 if your appeal is successful you wont have to pay anything and may get compensated if you attend the appeal hearing. If you lose you have a certain amount of time to pay before it then goes to £90 if you dont pay then it goes to court and more fees are added and the bailiffs get involved if you refuse to pay that. I think thats the same for PATAS as well but im not entirely sure how they work
  19. G&M he didnt get the PCN's how can he appeal if he didnt get any paperwork:rolleyes:
  20. Ive been reading their website and they even state that they issue PCN's but I notice on the ticket they refer them as FPN's bit of a contradiction there perhaps. their website makes interesting reading plus video of the MD himself on TV.. paints himself as a saint and that hes saving England from the terrors of motorists .. well I exaggerated a little but he tries to paint a pretty picture any way lol
  21. I thought the same as its not a PCN, Maybe some one should tell them that
  22. Im sorry to hear your wife has been ill I wish her a full recovery, My advice is to go back to the council and demand copies of the first NTO and all photographic evidence of the PCN, they have to provide you with these. Either hand deliver the letter and get a receipt or post recorded delivery. Send them an email as well. In the mean time fill in the form N245 In form the bailiff company what you are doing in writing, if they come dont let them in hide your car and wait for replies etc ..
  23. *********UPDATE*********** Its been an utter nightmare getting my case to court, had to sack my solicitor because they hadnt informed me about court dates and letters etc so have had to redo some stuff and send them to court myself only to have them sent back because of new staff at the court and they were unfamiliar with certain cases, the court manager couldnt apologise enough for the mix up.. any hoo he has informed me that drakes have not submitted their defense yet which should of been in at the end of October, November at the latest neither has Mr W**** the bailiff who assaulted me.. What happens if they dont submit their defense or even turn up at court?? would any one happen to know.. I have received my medical records and there is more on there than I have told the courts.. EG; my foot injuries and bruising that I didnt mention from where the bailiff pushed the door against my leg and foot so this has been sent with attached photos of injuries and also the adjudicators finding with regards to the PCN which he made a point of saying the PCN was not enforcible .. phew its all going on here any hoo hope you all had a good crimbo and I wish you all a happy new year
  24. Ive just spent a lot of time writing to the LGO about this same subject where my case is concerned.. It was proved by NPAS themselves that the council were guilty of maladministration, but was told by the LGO that they could not get involved as it was out of their jurisdiction because i had already taken the bailiff to court and that I won my PCN appeal.
