  1. hi, i have not 'disappeared' i only posted the thread yesterday and i have 9 month old boy to look after and i am unable to constantly check my computer.Thank you for the helpful responses, i think i will contact Barclaycard and try and get the information from them.I acknowledge i have a debt from my Barclaycard and would like to pay it off bit by bit im currently trying my best to improve my credit rating and file just wished i hadn't been so naive about money and financed when i was a student. To be honest i cant remember if i got a letter or not saying the debt had been sold to HFO.
  2. I took out a student Barclaycard in 2004 which had a limit of £500, as student i new little about credit and credit cards and should of paid it off sooner rather than later even if was only £10 a month though i had so very little money as a student and was in financial difficulty.HFO contacted me about 3 years via email and letter which i responded to by email. They became so rude and obnoxious that i ignored them plus the amount was ridiculous. They managed to get hold of my current address and wrote to me telling me i owe £1400!!Saying that £400 was in interest?!i thought that debt agencies couldn't put interest on debts?I could sort of see Barclaycard doing it as it is them whom i had the credit with and that accumulates interest. Is there anyway i can deal with my debt direct with Barclaycard or has it now been completely sold to HFO?To find out the original debt sold to HFO by Barclaycard what should i write to Barclaycard?
