  1. Thanks for responses so far, I'm going to plead guilty and suppose offer for mitigating factors around clean licence, miles I travel each year and but my view over regrading the traffic flow and conditions as I don't agree with the officers interpretation of the weather... Has anyone any guidance on how likely a ban is as I'm away on a pre booked holiday so pleading guilty and not attending in person on the day, how will I know the outcome if I'm on holiday? I was planning on driving when I landed.... Now may not be able to do so.... But how would I know I'd been banned... Hopefully this isn't the case but need to plan for the worst...
  2. Hi, On 7th September I was pulled over doing 83mph in a 50mph zone. The road was the a725 passing Bellshill. The road is a dual carriageway, industrial area with a full protection between opposite travel. Police car was sat in slip road and used a unipolar sl700 to record speed. Today (28th october) I have received a court summons for 22nd November. I have no doubt that I was doing that speed but one or two questions: Letter states weather conditions were dry with wet road service - it was dry with dry road service Letter states traffic flow was moderate - traffic flow was low and nothing at all for next mile in outside lane as road is straight Is the 14 day guidance from receiving pending prosecution not still the case? Will the judge be aware that the road is a dual carriageway? I'm looking for advice on likely outcome and also any legal guidance on process or even down to sending a supporting letter with personal circumstance such as driving 25k plus business miles for last 5 years with clean licence etc etc Please help with any support or advice on how to play this one.. If need be then I'd rather spend a few hundred quid on legal advice if it meant not getting 6 points plus or even a ban... Thank you and happy to give more details if someone can offer advice.
