Hi There, I was wondering if some one could help me i think i am in big trouble i received a letter from the compliance operation for tax credits and they are looking for information. I have the information for them but my problem is that i have claimed for a single parent when me and my partner split but i have now found out that because we have a joint account (could not get another one because of trust deed) i was not suppose to claim for a single parent should have claimed for a joint but i was not informed of this from the tx credits helpline. I am so scarred of what is going to happen to me and my family. I have receantly got back with my partner and we had twins last year and because they were born premiture and my son had a stroke i never informed them of my changes. I am so scared of what is going to happen to me i dont want to lose my job or go to prison. I am sitting here crying and cant eat because of this i really do not know what to do. Please can someone help me.
