A quick bit of advice needed if poss. I have been through this whole process with First Direct and claimed for nearly £2K and the matter is now settled. Unfortunately, the last couple of months I've racked up £70 worth of charges from Barclays. Not a lot obviously! I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with a phonecall to Barclays with small amounts like these, or should I start down the letter writing route? Cheers Chris

No problem, just done it.

I don't really want to go into detail for obvious reasons and I will respect the confidentiality agreement. However, me keeping the information confidential is no skin off my nose, so I don't mind signing it. I am happy with the outcome, and would not have liked the situation to have gone on further, nor would I have particularly liked to actually end up in court, even though I am no doubt that I would have won.

Thanks, this info was already available in the litigation section and I'm not giving out any info as to what the agreement with First Direct is. Thanks for your advice though!

I agree, although I'm hoping this action won't get fed down to the people that deal with me normally. If my account is closed as a result, don't think I'll be too worried, you get cash for opening new accounts these days anyway!
