  6. Don't the banks have someone who is to do with legal compliance? Can you not inform them that they are continuing to allow the bank to break the law?, then if they fail to act...litigate against them? Just a thought, any ideas? Regards
  7. Judges have bank accounts. Surely they would not be persuaded by a OFT decision as that questions their own ability to judge. If £15 was said to be okay, they should put a breakdown of individual costs as part of the contract. What do you think? Regards
  8. Funny that. The BBC is OUR channel, we pay for the bloody thing!!! People should flood them with requests to get the matter aired. Regards
  9. Most companies want you to go paperless.... Blah Blah Blah......something to do with the environment. They are saving money though, why doesn't the customer benefit from this? If I want, the bank can send me a letter telling me I have gone overdrawn by e-mail. NOW WHERE ARE THE COSTS? Regards
  10. Cheers. Too many posts now, I haven't enough time to read them all. When my actions are concluded, I don't intend to let this end and will give my support to the continuing action. That is to give these monkeys, the peanuts they deserve! Regards
  11. Read in the Daily Mail yesterday regarding OFT andc Credit Card charges, apparently they will come down to around £15. It appears that the fight is going to continue then....... Regards
  12. Hi, Got the same problem with a debt to MBNA which is now owned by Link Financial. They have told me that they have the information I am requesting or can request it from MBNA if required. Can't see a problem since if they were unable to provide data to back up their claim, then I doubt they could pursue you in the courts for it. Only my opinion though. Regards
  13. Interesting. Cost of a payment being late is £20...okay I will believe them, not! Same goes for not at all! Regards

    Cahoot

12 months free.... anything else for a fiver. Have you paid them a fee for your DPA request? Regards
  15. Excellent responses. Ultimately I live to the rule of law, I expect if I am to, then everyone else should as well. The banks should also abide by the law. I intend to seek to enforce that principle by litigating against them. They have screwed me and I intend to screw them back. Regards
  16. If I murder someone, can I claim that I didn't know it was a crime? I doubt it, they will throw the book at me!!! Why should the banks get away with [edited - admin]? The only main reason so far is that the [edited - admin] already have your money and most people don't want to fight for their RIGHTS!!! Regards
  17. Overdraft does not EXCEED amount of charges??? Confusing cos you then imply that charges are low cos they are only in the last few months!!! Correct me if I am wrong but that is how I read it! Regards
  18. Time for a whizz again. Most CC's as far as I know have on the monthly statement the interest rate being charged for that period. Someone with the know should be able to adapt a spreadsheet to work this out!!! Anyone able to? Regards
  19. A charge for an *AGREED* overdraft would be a SERVICE charge and not a penalty. Regards
  20. Whoa, Very nice. I wouldn't take the £1000, the £2000 is yours anyway. I would write back accepting the £1000 but you would like the difference as well. Regards Lee
  21. Fletch They will not be able to comply with your request...... The 30th February does not exist!!! Hope you get it all back though. Regards
  22. LOL Did they say they are charging you for what appears to be an automated letter??? Regards

  24. Hi Solicitor on behalf of Tesco Personal Finance filed a claim against me for just 10% of the balance outstanding...they obviously don't see anything wrong with it. They did state on their claim that they are not waiving the rights to the rest of the money due. Just go after charges from the last say 2 years first..... since you have the records...what can the bank prove? Then say you located records you archived...... Will they even force you to court????? Ensure settlement terms are not restrictive.. Would assume seperate accounts are rightly seperate claims anyway.
