  1. Just thought i'd update the thread with the news that Welcome Finance have admitted fault and reversed the default and amended my credit file! SUCCESS!!!!!
  2. Received confirmation of my complaint to FSO and 2 days later received another letter from them saying they can see that WFS have not responded to my complaint and they have exceeded the 14 day limit. FSO would then act on this complaint and would contact me in 14 days to let me know the outcome good news??
  3. Yes submit the required documents but forgot about the fee i needed to pay. The only response i've had from WFS is when i needed to pay something i requested. I no the default won't be removed, this is small progress on the road to it been removed!
  4. Hi, Do O2 have a rep that deal with queries on this forum? I need to raise a credit issue with O2 but not having much success. Regards
  5. Had a letter back from Financial Services Ombudsman saying that it could be 4 weeks till they repsond. I have also had a letter from WFS saying they need £11 to complete the SAR request i issued. Some progress but default still aparant
  6. Do O2 have a rep that looks at these forums like Vodafone do? I have a case with O2 and previously had help with vodafone via this site.
  7. Default was applied in April this year. My only request is that this default is removed, and i will try my hardest and do whatever it takes to make that happen. I've got a mortgage application in the balance.
  8. I see. Have you heard of any other cases similar to mine? have there been any positive results.
  9. Definately a voluntary termination. I'm not sure why anyone would surrender the car and and continue to pay the monthly fees.
  10. Do you know which is the best address to send this too..? Much appreciated all your help
  11. Thanks, what happens after that? What does this document give me?
  12. Hi There, Apologies for the delay reply. I'm doing all the chasing on this, the current balance they have applied a default on my credit file is £5252 and a current balance figure of £5371. I terminated this agreement in Jan 2011 and the car went back the same month. I have checked my credit file and the default was applied on 21/04/2011
  13. Lee has managed to resolve this issue and can confirm the default has been removed from my credit file! Just shows if you keep fighting against companies and continue to fight your corner you can make them realise they are wrong. Forum closed
  14. Hi, I took out a Welcome Finance Car agreement back in 2006 on a Vauxhall Astra paying £356 a month for 4 years. Part way into the agreement i checked the paperwork and confirm i could voluntary terminate the agreement and return the goods to welcome. This was all completed and verified and have the paperwork to confirm termination. I recently (Nov 2011) applied for a mortgage with my wife and were declined, when checking my credit report Welcome Finance have kindly placed a default on my file for i assume the balance of the agreement that was owed at the time of termination. Now over the course of the agreement 2 or 3 payments were missed but then paid, at the point of termination there were no arrears on the account. When i contacted them i have received no reply, no communication in return, trying to apply for a mortgage in todays market is hard enough without this sort of thing coming up. I am so annoyed this has happened. Are they allowed to do this, can anyone advise on who i can speak to in order to get this corrected. Thanks in advance Mike
