  1. Hi. I have had 3 letters now from CEL. The last one (which was a good few months after the last) suggested I pay something like nearly £300 or something OR pay £the original £75 to close the deal! It came enclosed with the other two letters they had sent before, along with, like you say, the threat to go to court etc. There is nothing on the letters that convince me that they are official... there is no council or authority reference on there. Reading them again its all empty 'threats'. I was very nervous at first (Aug 2011), but after reading a fair few forums (including a confirmation that a CEL letters' just stopped) I'm quietly confident now and sticking to my guns.
  2. Thanks dfx. I have spent some time reading related threads on this forum - and reading them has given me the confidence and reassurance to do what they advise and ignore any letters from these companies... But Although many people will give advice and say ignore them - the advice given isn't exactly reinforced with proven experience from those. If the advice was 'ignore them, I did when it happened to me, I had x amount of letters over a period of x and heard nothing etc'. Its difficult to help think they mean 'ignore them, thats what I would do!' Hopefully, as xddaver posted this last year, their issue will have been resolved one way or another and will post some feedback on how it ended
  3. I'm just in a similar situation and am ignoring it... also will expect to receive further letters to ignore
  4. In my experience Orange have been quite reasonable. So all the best, hope it gets sorted.
  5. It would be interesting to hear how xddaver got on after all
  6. Just happened to me with the same company (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT LTD).
