  1. Thanks for your help, can I object even though the company has already been dissolved? I presume not. I am not bothered about the redundancy payment as I had only worked for them for just over 6 months, I am more bothered about the pay they owe me for working during January and one week of February. I was under the impression there was some way of claiming unpaid wages from the Government, but this may only be when a company has become insolvent or gone into receivership? Sounds as though I am not going to get too far with this. Do you know anything about applying to have a company restored? From what I have read on the net sounds as though this might cost me and I have no idea what would be involved.
  2. Up until 7th Feb 11 I worked for a small firm who on at the end of January told me that they could not pay me. I continued to work for them for one week, as it was hoped that monies owed to the company would come in and we could all be paid and the business would continue to trade normally. At the end of that week I was told that I was being made redundant. I was not given notice of redundancy and still was not paid for the previous month. I filed an ET1 towards in April 11 which was accepted and a court date of 19th August was set. Since then the company has dissolved, I think the date showing on Companies House is end July 11. I have received a letter from the ET telling me that the court date has been cancelled due to the company being dissolved, however, it does not give me any idea of what I do next, how do I now go about getting the pay I am owed? The letter says something about getting the company restored, it also says that the EJ will look at my claim again in 6 months time and if I have not applied to have the company restored it may well be struck off as I have not actively pursued my claim. I really have no idea what this means, or how I would go about doing this - seems wrong that the company can get away with this, they have dissolved when still owing money - I was under the impression that this could not happen. Can anyone shed any light?
