  1. Got a pcn today, code 86, parking outside a bay. I accept this but here's problem. It was in a barrier controlled car park, which i usually only let's u in when some one leaves , after waiting 5 minutes to get in, there was no spaces available, 4 other cars driving round looking for a space. Last time this happened I was waiting 15 minute for a space. And u can only leave the car park once uv pay, so it's not as if I could leave and look else were.. I was late for work, so made my own space. Does this pcn sound acceptable or can I challenge it in any way. Thanks
  2. End of last month, received notice of intended litigation, from Graham White solicitors, detailing costs associated with issuing a claim. They wanted payment settled within 7 days. Ignored the letter. 2 weeks past, thought we had heard the last, then this morning received the final warning letter from them. The letter basically accepts that my dad may not be the driver and if he could identify the driver. And if he doesn't he may be taken to court under, under proceedings rules, 31.16. Again gonna continue to ignore, but can some one explain what 31.16 is, and how it works. As it seems there working on the premise that my dad may 'likely' be the driver.
  3. Received the letter from the debt collectors Roxburghe today, warning that if the pcn isn't paid in 10 days, the matter will be passed on to Graham White solicitors. Going to continue ignoring these letters, but has any one got to this stage and what can I expected next? Thought the closing paragraph is worth mentioning, as it basically explains to ignore all sites and forums like this as they are all I'll advised and to seek legal advice. I'm only guessing such legal advice would be not different to what's on here.
  4. A few months apparently i parked in a fitness first car park that is run by PARKING EYE and didn't sign in, as I'm am not the registered keeper of the the car, my dad is, so he has since received 3 letters demanding payment. However after reading most threads on here and taking friends advice we have ignored the letters and assumed that was that. Yet this morning my dad received a phone call from a debt collection agency, informing him that they are going to begin court action. He did inform them that he was not the driver and that one of his sons was driving but did not give a name. They said they was still going to continue with court proceedings. If any one has any advice this would be great. Thanks
  5. If any one has a better understanding of bus lane regs, your opinion would be welcomed. A few weeks ago I recieved a PCN for entering a bus lane heading north on kennington road. I recently made an early challenge, informing lambeth council of why I should have not been issued the PCN. It basically explained how I joined kennington road from Walcot SQ going north and there are NO bus lane signs. So therefore was not aware that the bus lane was operational. I have since recieved a letter back stating that my challenge was rejected, because the PCN was inssued correctly in accordence with the regulations. Im not familiar with the regulations, but im guessing that there should/must be bus lane signs after each turing. The last paragraph in there rejection letter also explains how 'Road signing will clearly outline the times the bus lane is operational and which vehicles are permitted to use it within thoses times.' This is exactly what they havent done. should i make a formal challenge because if it doesnt work i will have to pay the full fee.
