I recently applied for my provisional driving license. I sent them my original birth certificate and was horrified when they sent me back a photocopy and a letter claiming it was the same one i sent them. I would like to know if anything similar has happened to anyone else and if so, did they manage to do anthing about it? I'm not particuarly fussed about getting my license but would definetely like my original birth certificate back.
