  2. Hello everyone out there going through the same process as myself of getting back bank charges and good luck to you all !! I'm hoping someone can help me as i've just received a letter from the Halifax (after i sent them the standard Data Protection letter) stating they acknowledge this letter and duplicate statements will be sent under seperate cover. The letter then goes on to state that "with regard to manual intervention on your account, HBOS plc is under no statutory obligation to record this information and therefore, I am unable to assist further with your request".
