E-cigarettes - miracle or menace?
Ceri Thomas replied to NewsBot's topic in Give up smoking - - here
Having lost my mum to lung cancer and being a medium smoker for 13 years prior i can certainly say that ecigs have been a miracle for me, when my mum was diagnosed with cancer i was stressed but still really wanted to quit, i swapped to an ego electronic cigarette instead and never looked back and found it very easy to quit. There's allot of bad press going around but one thing i can say for certain is my health and fitness has improved and i'm feeling allot happier that i have done something but still have the option to go outside with friends on a night out without the temptation of a real cigarette. Bare in mind though that there is allot of rubbish on the market, some products are inferior and poorly built so don't let price be your choice option when purchasing, instead go for quality and you'll get a better experience. -
Seems some how I've ended up on the payday express mailing list, i'm getting their emails and this morning received a flier in my post box, i can opt out of the email which i now have but there's no mention of how to opt out from their post mailings... i'm also receiving other payday orientated emails that don't have an opt out which is quite annoying. payday loans uk

This is true, I recently paid for a credit report and of the 3 payday loans I had taken with 3 different lenders only the one from wonga showed up, not that it stopped me from getting a mortgage either way but it's good to no.

1 month loan / Mayday Payday
Ceri Thomas replied to kerrywba's topic in PayDay loans and Short Term loans - General
Although this thread is old the situation hasn't changed with 1 month loan my friend recently took a loan with them and the funds were taken out of his account when he wasn't expecting it, taking him over his overdraft to incur further costs. He's now writing to the OFT to make a formal complaint. -
Hi, I've unfortunately taken a loan with with wonga, quick quid and payday express and within the period of taking these loans i did apply for a mortgage and it didn't adversely effect me as I was accepted... the fact that you paid without defaulting goes a long way but i can't say for sure whether it will go the same way for yourself, depends upon your credit history of course.

Sounds about right I'm sure quick quid are well aware of what their doing, if there's a loop hole to be exposed they will find and use it!

Thanks for making me aware that quick quid have 8 weeks to resolve my complaint as they really are milking it, had i not known that's the case i would have thought their just ignoring me, funny how they can get the cash in your account in 10 minutes but take forever to resolve a issue.

Lending stream
Ceri Thomas replied to gaz0609's topic in PayDay loans and Short Term loans - General
Did you manage sort this in the end? How did you manage to successfully setup a payment plan with lending stream...? And what was your total loan amount taken and repayment duration agreed upon? Thanks. -
Sorry I only suggested the use of the quickquid live chat https://sales.liveperson.net/hc/69445590/?cmd=file&file=visitorWantsToChat&site=69445590&byhref=1&SESSIONVAR%21skill=quickquid-sales-english functionality as that worked for me, i'm sure emailing them will have an impact also, you can keep a record of a live chat discussion though as they will email it to you afterwards.

From the last letter i wrote to quick quid on the 3rd of Jan it has taken until today to receive a reply to my official complaint, not only has the reply taken over a month to receive but it's just at this stage an apology whilst they review my case further, not much i can say other than quick quid are far from efficient when i comes to dealing with complaints, although a payment plan was arranged with quick quid previously they took the full funds from my account bringing me over my overdraft so that I will incur further charges, their debt maybe paid but my finances are far from resolved.

I had a similar problem with quickquid in the past, I had little or no luck over the phone so tried their live chat customer service which proved to be better as you get to rate their performance at the end... maybe worth a try - https://sales.liveperson.net/hc/69445590/?cmd=file&file=visitorWantsToChat&site=69445590&byhref=1&SESSIONVAR%21skill=quickquid-sales-english good luck!

I know this is an old thread but thanks sillygirl for providing this info! I've had similar issues with payday express so will follow what your recommend here also... sounds like quickquid are equally as bad... although from what I've been reading there are know good payday loan companies out there.
-
After my recent experiences I would most definitely say the better option is to email quick quid or send a recorded letter, payday lenders are terrible to deal with over the phone.

payday express nightmare
Ceri Thomas replied to rippedoff15's topic in Payday Express/Wage advance/Cashtillpayday
Would appreciate a reply to the above question as I'm still having issues with payday express they still haven't replied to my original letter... although no reply has been received I haven't received any more calls directly from payday express at my work place... but I am still getting debt collection letters unfortunately and starting to get a bit worried. Please be aware that all debt owed to payday express has been cleared, there maybe a duplicate on the system or something but I am not aware of this, Thanks. -
payday express nightmare
Ceri Thomas replied to rippedoff15's topic in Payday Express/Wage advance/Cashtillpayday
Did you have any joy using this letter? I took a payday loan with payday express through a broker who has now handed my debt onto a collections agency although it's already been paid... I've sent Payday Express and the broker a letter I personally wrote without a template but it went into great detail about the situation, I sent it recorded delivery and I can see it was signed for 7 days ago now... I'm yet to receive a reply, did you receive a written reply and if so how long did it take to receive? Thanks. -
Payday UK & Keyes Whitlock & Company
Ceri Thomas replied to Markie1973's topic in PayDay loans and Short Term loans - General
I previously took out a £600 loan through a broker called payday loans uk who referred me to payday express, they have been chasing me for a debt that was paid off over 2 weeks ago now and rang my employers numerous times chasing payment much to my embarrassment... I have rang payday express numerous times and even spoken to one of their floor supervisors... all have confirmed the debt has been cleared but today low and behold just a moment ago I have received a letter in the post from Keyes Whitlock & Co. saying I owe them £75, I'm not going to rise to bait, instead I'm just going to phone them and make them aware the debt is cleared and to take it up with payday express who I have also written to on this matter. Their customer service keeps getting worse and worse and now I have debt collectors on my case, what next.... -
Wonga taking more than agreed
Ceri Thomas replied to Zhank's topic in Wonga and associated companies
I've been having a similar issue to this with payday express they have been chasing money off me by phoning my work place ever few days although the debt was officially cleared over 2 weeks ago now, i no this is an old thread but I'm just going to say what ever the OFT have been doing over the past years has not stopped, payday express or wonga from carrying on with their ways.
