  1. Lee is preparing my case for review by the Quality Assurance team. I will feedback in due course.
  2. Thank you Lee, To clarify, I requested a change of name on the account (alongside the other details). I asked the Representative to confirm that I was no longer legally or financially responsible for the account. Additionally, there seems to be some significant administration problems going on. My mother says she stopped receiving bills in January. Importantly, I consider this fact completely apart from my complaint, and cannot (nor, want to) confirm my mother's statement as I live apart from my parents. Regards.
  3. I understand there is a Vodafone presence on the board. As such, my email reference was #6351590.
  4. Hey guys, I need a hand. I'm a 21-year-old student. I took out a mobile phone contract in 2009, and maintained it without any late payments. In July 2010 I went to live in the United States for 6 months. Before leaving I rang Vodafone to transfer the phone, the contract, and the payee details into my mother's name. She defaulted on the account in April 2011 (£173). I've just found out that the account was still in my name (via Equifax). It seems like the phone and payee details were transferred correctly and timely, but the name on the contract was not. Although I received vocal confirmation that everything was completed soundly at the time. I have just contacted Vodafone, asking for the quickest/easiest way to resolve the mistake. Ideally, I want the incorrect default removed from my record. I'm currently trying to resolve it with Vodafone (I can get a signed letter from my mother explaining she should have been solely legally responsible for the contract). I may even be willing to pay off the incorrect default in full on the condition that the default is removed from my credit rating? i.e., pay off debt that is not mine. Is there any further action I can/should take?
