  1. Oops. Proves I'm rubbish on a pc! Paper and a fountain pen is more me
  2. Good morning all. I've got someone to [problem] and e mail the docs to me, just trying to find a way to get them onto here.... any suggestions from the knowledgable? Thanks in anticipation,
  3. Thanks Donkey, my daughter is coming to visit later and will help me to get some photos onto my pc, that way I'll be able to get them to you. It's a bit nerve racking with Barts and things lurking about and I'm wary of revealing too much publicly. I do trust you though
  4. HI No signature anywhere. Opened in 1988 It states a copy of the original executed agreement but the only address is on an A4 cover sheet that has only my name and address at the time I will have opened the account, with a Right To Cancel paragraph, no date or Mention of Barclaycard at all. T&Cs have no address on the top. I dont have a scanner of any kind, trying to work out how to get a way for you to see it all. thanks again
  5. Thank you Donkey. Just a quick response whilst I try to get my head together. Having sent a CCA request to HFO in April, I received a reply from them this week, which was a letter from Barclaycard to my previous address and copies of Barclaycard conditions prior to it being transferred to their recovery dept and what they say is a copy of the original executed agreement, nothing signed just a sheet with an address of mine from the late 80's and agreement blurb. HFO Services covering letter, headed HFO RESPONSE TO REQUEST OF DOCUMENTS asking me to phone my account manager. I sent a SAR request to Barclaycard in April and they responded by sending me my last 2 years statements then I received a letter stating they could not send me info as my address was not the one they had, strange after sending me statements! I can't locate the second letter although I'm searching (sorry I keep all this paperwork together so can't explain my incompetance).
  6. Hello again good people, it has been some considerable time since I posted on here (my M.S. acts up when I am stressed) but I have received very similar to Bluebare and will start a new thread as soon as I can.
  7. DonkeyB you are like Mystic Meg to me! I phoned Barclaycard and the account was indeed sold to HFO Capital on 09/02/2007, the last payment made by me was Jan 2006. Any advice on my next move would be greatly appreciated - thanks again to all for making me feel empowered to deal with this matter. Badger
  8. no, they didn't just add a few zeros, it is very similar but has a couple of digits different.
  9. Thanks for your quick reply Donkey. I have moved since my last contact with Barclaycard which I think was in 2006 via the citizens advise, which resulted in them waiting for a reply from Barclaycard. I'll phone Barclaycard as your suggestion, although HFO quoting the wrong account number has me puzzled!
  10. Hi all, I'm new to the forum and no expert by any means on computers but I've read similar stories to my own on here. A couple of weeks ago I received a REMINDER NOTICE OF ASSIGNMENT from HFO Services for an old Barclaycard debt sold to HFO Capital Ltd, stating I owed just under £5000. The number stated by them as the original account number on their letter was incorrect. I therefore wrote to them, recorded delivery, stating I had not received a Notice of Assignment and had no record of the account number stated. I have since received a second letter saying they have attempted to contact me several times, I never answer witheld numbers, though they have acknowledged receipt of my letter on my mobile answerphone. I have also noticed a number of missed calls on my home phone. In the second letter the amount has increased by around £15. I rent my bungalow from the local authority and have been unable to work for over 5 years due to illness, which is how my debts originally arose. I have noticed other threads adising tto ask for CCAs and SARs but in this case the account number is incorrect. I have suspected multiple sclerosis which makes matters like this hard to deal with so would appreciate any advise. thanks Badger
