  1. Hi just a quick question. I have been making monthly payments to npower to clear an outstanding debt for energy at an old address. I have received a letter from fidelite claiming ownership of the debt. As I have been making payments to npower and they have not returned the payments where to I stand as to who the money is owed to. I'm not looking to get out of paying it but I want to pay it to the company it's owed to rather than a DCA THANKS IN ADVANCE
  2. I recently recieved a letter from the above bailiff company stating i owed £396 for an unpaid parking fine. Now i dont remember ever getting a parking ticket but have been told by Harrow Council that it was ticket issued via CCTV. I spoke ot the bailiff company saying that id pay the fine but dont get paid for another 7 days. The letter from the bailiffs stated that they are willing to reduce the amount significantly. I was told by a very rude and abrupt male that i either paid the full amount now or pay £100 today and then in 7 days clear the account. I told him that i would pay the £100 now but i cant guarentee that in 7 days ill have the full outstanding amount as my pay varies. He told me that if i didnt pay the outstanding in 7 days then they would consider that i have broken the agreement and would send the bailiff around. I told him i wasnt breaking an agreement. I am willing to pay the amount but just cant guarentee that i can clear the full amount in 7 days. He then hung up on me. I called back and stated id pay the £100 today as i didnt want bailiffs attending my parents address. I no longer live there and dont own the car either but i dont want them knocking on my parents door. He said that rather than accept a payment plan they would cancell the agreement and send a bailif around to seize the car as its worth a lot of money. He didnt listen when i said i no longer own it He then transferred me to the automated payment system where i paid the £100 on my visa card. As the system was giving me my reciept number it cut out saying "sorry we are experiencing technical problems" and then the system hung up. My account shows the money has left my account but on ringing the company back they state that they have no record of recieving the money. I cant give them the reciept number as they system crashed before i got it in full. The woman i spoke to said that id have to pay another £100 today or theyd consider that i had cancelled the agreement. I told her i didnt have another £100. She said to wait for 48 hours to see if the money was put back into my account but even though she would "put a note on it" they would still consider that i had cancelled the agreement. and she couldnt help me anymore. I need any advice available, i have e-mailed Harrow Council and am awaiting a response but i dont know how often and who reads the e-mails. I no longer live at the address they have for me and i own a different car now. please help!!!! cheers
