  1. Yeah but it should have been there in 2003 and gone away by now. No way did the default occur as late as 2005. It's like it's been done just to mess my credit up for a few months
  2. Someone owed me money, I cashed the cheque, which bounced. Can't remember the name of the place. I refused to pay until the person paid me. Never heard anything back. Until now. All I know is it was at least 7 years ago, if not longer. DCA is 1st credit?
  3. Hi there, I check my report on a monthly basis and this default had never previously been reported. The DCA have basically reported I defaulted on an agreement in 2005 and the account is now closed, it also says the default was satisfied the same date and will be reported on until 2011. Its also only for £250. I'm not sure what they are trying to do. Unless they are trying to get me to contact them and blackmail to have the default removed.
  4. Thanks, I have also noticed on my report the account is listed as closed. Does that mean that they will not be contacting me?
  5. Hi There, I was looking for some advice; A debt collector has been chasing a debt that I believe is around 8 years old. I'm pretty positive, if not 100% positive this debt is statute barred. Today I pulled up a copy of my credit report to find the DCA last month lodged a default on my report. On the details they have put that default date is 2005, when it is more like 2003. I have also never communicated with this DCA before. I can only assume they have done this so they can keep pursuing me. So I wanted to ask if anyone has encountered this problem before? and if they knew how I can get this removed? Any help would be much appreciated Thanks.
