  1. more additional info (sorry its not in one go, my memory works a bit slowly) The last week i have been going through tech routines with the mobile provider. The first phone call was a waste of my time, as they took 30 minutes of my time, to end up telling me they cant troubleshoot unless i pay the outstandnig balance. I told them not a chance, service is poor, and you haven't even provided the service the last few months due to cutting my connection, I am not paying for something I haven't been provided. He said he will call me back a day later. He called a day later like he said, useless again, he requested the service be activated to trouble shoot, it was, limited to just theyr page, which took around 1 minute to fully load up in the browser. he told me to try another site, when tried i get 'explorer can not provide this page'. he told me again i would need to pay outstanding balance to troubleshoot. again i refused. he promised to call again 2 days later. he did. this time it worked, if you can call sitting around for 1 minute+ to load every webpage. youtube homepage took 3+ minutes. after an hour of trouble shooting, he said its a problem with the computer and to get in touch with HP. (passing the buck it seems), told him theres nothing wrong with computer, as my home connection works fine. he insisted it was my computer, so told him right, i have another computer, ring me back in 15minutes so i can unpack it (unused) and set it up. he did. Exactly the same problem. the speeds i'm getting are between 5-10Kbps with both computers. It's like i've gone back in time to dial up. Theres just no way I'm paying for these so called 'broadband speeds'.
  2. i have a mobile dongle thats rubbish, i have had many phones calls with tech support the last week trying to sort out the speed/connection issues. Each time i have had to go through security clearence giving my name, postcode, and date of birth. I got the contract over the phone (didn't sign anything) around 12 months ago. Its an 18 month contract. I am an existing customer when got the contract, with a mobile phone, of which i did sign. All my details were correct on the contract i signed for the phone. They rang to ask if i would be interested, at the time i was, little to know the network would get extremely useless. Thus they had all the correct (or at least you'd have thought) details from my file on the system. I have made in excess of 50 calls to the network for both the phone and dongle over the last 5 plus years. Each time giving my security clearence. Today, they tell me my security information i'm providing is wrong. I was not too happy about this, they were adament the info they had is right, and i'm wrong (yes i'm sure i know my DoB). They did tell me the DoB they had on file after i had to provide more security information. The date of birth isn't slightly wrong, its way out, by over 30years, the month is two months out, and the day is out by over two weeks. Where do i stand please? Additional information... I stopped paying in november 2010 because of the cruddy service, back then the customer care was useless. I told them there's no way I'm paying for a service you cannot provide. Again in january, they contacted me about the dongle, they had now disconnected the service and started demanding payments. I stuck to my 'not paying for rubbish service' attitude. In february they passed the debt on to a collection agency. The amount i owe keeps going up by the monthly rental. Told them the contract is in dispute. they told me thats not on their notes. In fact, these lot (english) were very abrupt and threatening, more so when i told them, you aren't getting nothing out of me so stop pesturing me (3+ phonecalls per day since it got transfered to debt collectors). They told me i will be taken to court. Told them again the contract is indispute, i'll gladly go to court. The idiot on the other end laughed at me down the phone and told me '3 are a multibillion pound company, their lawyers will be far better than what you can afford, (then his tone went all authoritive and cocky, with a raised volume) YOU WILL LOSE'. So i laughed back and told him, you would say that wouldn't you, 'cos you wont get paid unless i pay, your threats mean nothing, i'll see you in court. He then said, right i'll put it through to go to court then, where you'll lose and ruin your credit. I replied fine, then hung up. The collection agency are still calling 3+ times a day, i have now turned the house phone off (i work shifts and their calls are getting annoying waking me up during the day when i sleep). They still manage to ring on my mobile, i just ignore it. On the few times i do answer, and the few times i do have the house phone on and answer, its a recorded message asking me to press '1' if i am who i am, and '2' if not. I just hang up.
