Hi, I have successfully pursued a claim with Belmont Thornton to reclaim back my PPI from Welcome. Unfortunately I was not aware at the time that this is easy to do myself, however I cannot help that now. The issue is now receiving my money, I had the confirmation from welcome that the money is owed and I needed to sign and return the confirmation form. This was done and Belmont confirmed this was sent to Welcome at the start of the month. The problem stems for the fact that Welcome said payment would be made within 10 working days to Belmont Thornton, then Belmont would take their fee and a cheque would be sent to me. On first speaking to Belmont Thornton I was told it would be 28 days, on second contact I was told 4-6 weeks and on my third contact I was told payment from Welcome to their account can take up to 45 working days. Is there anyway I can find out if the money has been paid to Belmont so I can chase up my money, can anyone offer any advice or have they had similar issues? Also I was told b yBelmont that Welcome have announced they have gone bust.
