  1. Thanks Brig, I'm trying to find a way to get this confirmed for sure, Some people say this is the case and some say that the money in my business is liable to be taken by DCC against my debts, because it is my company, and my money ultimately. Hope others have an opinion to sway one way or the other.
  2. Hi all, I posted a question mentioning this point yesterday and got a brief answer kindly from another member but have today received conflicting advise so i wonder if anybody could clarify the following: I have personal debt. I am the director, and sole employee of my Ltd company. I pay myself a small salary, in order to try and acheive a healthy business cashflow in order to see myself (salary) and my business running costs through any hard times in the future. Can my personal debt, be taken from my Ltd company profits/Cashflow/Bank account. Or Is my personal debt only able to be taken from what my Ltd company pays me as an employee. (salary) I hope this makes sense and clarification would help me no end. Thank you all for any input P
  3. Thanks 666, appreciate the advice.
  4. Also, If these debts need paying, will i have to pay out of the small profits in my Ltd company? I pay myself a small wage in order to try and build my company cashflow, and increase the chances of surviving this economic climate. So with income and expenditure if it comes to that, will it include money in my Ltd company or just my wages? Thanks all again
  5. Thanks uncle. Elsa - Whatever it is must be SB im assuming because the few bits of credit i have now are fully up to date and paid, so cant be anything to do with that, and the only other credit i had in my life was these loans and credit cards when i was 18. I'm 36 now.
  6. Hi Sillygirl and Uncle, The debts were unsecured loans and credit cards. I checked for ccjs on trustonline but nothing registered, and im guessing that even if there are any they wouldn't be on the register after 6 years?? is there any other way to find out?
  7. Hi all, Help and advise needed please. I have recieved a letter from Ruthbridge, stating that they are attempting to contact "the above named person". It says if I am the above named person to call them to obtain further details, and if i'm not, to call them to update they're records. I'm guessing this is a debt that I foolishly got from about 15 years ago, but i've done nothing about from moving to various addresses. I'm aware that some debts become statute barred and that some may get CCJ's, but what debts are likely to have ccj's and which don't?? is there a standard structure to it at all? How can i see if i have ccj's if over 10 years old and probably not on credit file? And finally what should i do regarding this letter? should i ignore it? It says if i dont respond they may call me, but its my mother in laws home, will the have her number? i don't want her frightened. Thanks for any help, I appreciate it
  8. Hi all, I need some advise. I have just received a parking ticket for parking with two wheels on the pavement in the road where i live. The pavement has the white dotted lines on it to indicate that it is ok to park on it, but because the road is very narrow, i parked further into the pavement than the lines, so my two wheels had crossed the dotted lines. The path was not obstructed, and a wheelchair could still get passed if needed. What I need to know is, is it illegal for my wheels to be over these lines? My car has been hit three times because it is hanging out into the road too far! Also, the dotted lines on the pavement are barely visible as most of the paint is worn away. Thanks in advance for any help
