1. I don't wish to argue with you. Can you delete my thread after please I don't wish to look like an idiot online. Thank you.
2. They both have the same address and the same person signs for my recorded letters, they're letters are the same too apart from name of the company being either Egg or Citi. If they're not being dealt with by same people then that is one very weird coincidence.
3. Hi, Sorry to start a new thread but can't find any of my old ones! So, following on from my previous post which was something along these lines: I sent Egg my FOS Questionnaire and SOC and they responded very quickly with a "NO". I had some fab advice here and DX wrote me a template which I sent telling them to prove the box wasn't pre-ticked and that I could have continued if I'd un-ticked, respectfully refer them to the news article of them being fined blah blah. well the 8 weeks is up and still no reply to my "prove it" letter so shall I send a LBA or go straight to FOS?? It's only £300 so was hoping they'd cough up rather than me take to FOS. Citi paid me out and the PPI was same time and same reasons given. Citi and Egg are SAME COMPANY! even the addresses that I write to are exactly the same and the same person always signs for my recorded letters. Is there a template to send or is FOS my best course of action?? Thanks in advance
4. This is a little interesting or maybe it isn't??? Have now received the data that natwest originally told me they didn't have (I contacted ICO so I assume this is why they miraculously found it!) The agreement shows PPI on the payments breakdown but on second page where I signed it there is no tick in the box. Will this help if they reject my claim? I remeber the loan application well becasue the young lad who was trrying to get my loan passed even made up a fake income to help it go through as first time it was rejected. He did tell me I had to have PPI or it wouldn't go through so I am not denying I didn't know it was going on there but the box isn't ticked. I've already submitted my FOS Q but wondered if this does mean anything or if it will help in the event or rejection. I hope I have uploaded properly, took me ages!
5. I meant your bank because if you were making payments to someone else it may show on your statements which is how I found many other credit cards and loans I didn't remember having. Payments to them were showing on my bank statements.
6. Hi Chris, they were like this with my SAR request until I reported them to ICO now they have miraculously found all my data including agreements, They have also sent me the same text but they still have a few weeks left. I'd definately follow the advice of sending a reminder letter and if you do report them to FOS send them another letter telling them you have. This is what i did with ICO and they acted upon it before ICO even had chance to contact them. I've found that with these companies if they realise you don't make idle threats they are more likely to take you a little more seriously. Good luck with your claim Lisa
7. Have you tried asking your bank if they would still have any statements as you never know if they send you old statements (even if at the very end of loan) you will have proof of loan and amounts?? Not sure if that'll work for you but that's how I found some of the loans that I didn't even know I'd had! Natwest have managed to send me stuff from 11 years ago, 15 may be stretching it though
8. Thanks dx, I'm really confused on how to do spreadsheet though, The earlt settlement rebate is baffling me. It doesn't add up? not sure where to start working out calculations so do you think I should send FOS Q without spreadsheet and see what they come back with or is this easy to calculate myslef if I know how. Thanks again for all your help
9. Hi dx, I think it was all done over the phone and then documents printed and sent for me to sign, I don't recall the conversation so don't know wether they told me it was compulsory, standard part of the loan, or wether I was told anything at all and just signed it because I thought it was part of the agreement that I couldn't amend/object to?. Thanks
10. Here's the T&C's too although not very clear
11. Here it is dx, not sure how I applied but I think it would have been telephone application and they sent me documents to sign. I'm almost 100% sure because they charged me a £35 courier fee to receive the cheque by the looks of it? I don't recall going into a Halifax branch for a loan. Again at the time of this loan I was pregnant and off sick with pregnancy related problems (I'm not a good host for a baby and spent a lot of time in hospital during my pregnancy). I wouldn't have asked for or needed PPI unless told it was necessary. My credit wasn't fantastic back then. I'm assuming this will be hard to prove for telephone application? wonder if they still have 11 year old telephone logs - Doubt it! Thanks for your help
12. Update for you. Sent off Fos Q and SOC. Reason for mis-sale was I did not ask for PPI as I was already on Sick-leave from work and my husband was main earner, he also got 1 year full sick pay should he become ill. Also said that I didn't ask for PPI to start or stop and I was only charged for the 6 months interest free period. CLAIM UPHELD! Thanks everyone for you help, still loads more to do and a donation will be made when monies recieved
13. Hi, Sent a SAR to HBOS for mortgage details as I'm sure we had PPI and were forced to take their very expensive House Insurance in order to have mortgage accepted. Today they sent me a copy of loan agreement and statement for a loan I took in 2001. Nice suprise and had forgotten alol about this one! First question, which spreadsheet should I use as the loan hyas a small rebate halfway through so am unsure how to work out claim Second question, the letter says this is ALL available info they hold and are required by law to send. The mortgage was joint so maybe that's why although saying that this loan they have so kindly told me about is joint also! I also have a few bank accounts with them and 3 kids accounts in my name. No mention of these either but too be honest I'm not bothered about bank stuff as I have all statements anyway and it would probably need a truck to deliver that info! They don't know this though as I didn't say I didn't want it on SAR I said I wanted ALL DATA. My mortgage would have started end of 99 or early 2000 and ended in mid 2003 but surely they still have some records? Any suggestions and a point in direction of spreadsheet and how to work out calcs for loan would be very much appreciated. Thank very much in advance
14. Morning Slick, they are for approx £300 and £250 with interest or £240 and £210 without
15. Hi, have finally received my data after informing ICO and have loads of charges since my last reclaim back in 2006. I have two accounts, 1 Visa and 1 Mastercard that both have charges up until default. My Visa account is clear but my Mastercard is with Lowell I have done seperate spreadsheets for both accounts and used the interest rate slick suggested of 24.9%. My question is can I send 1 letter requesting fees back and include both spreadsheets or should I send them as two completely seperate claims? I was thinking if I send together then if court action is necessary (as I'm sure it will be) I can claim as one? Thanks
16. Thanks Ims, for the 2nd loan they have now sent me first page which I've uploaded #22 but it looks like I had a rebate, don't even know why! shall I have a go at spreadsheet and working out or shall I wait and see what they offer and how they calculate it with their breakdown? I'm still missing details for Loan 1 so I guess I'll have to do that "blind" and ask for breakdown. many thanks
17. Hi, I sent Sainsbury's a SAR on 30th March, they wrote back to me mid may saying they couldn't find me and needed an account number or previous address. I had supplied my Name, Address and D.O.B in my original SAR and I haven't had a previous address. I don't know my account number so I wrote back again stating this and infoirming them I had not moved so details were the same. They have responded again with exactly the same letter saying they can't locate my details without an account number or previous address. I tried to ring number on letter because it takes weeks for them to respond to letters but the number on letter is invalid 01244 694717 so I rang the number of their website and spoke to someone from on-line tech queries as this was only person i could get through to without knowing account number! He said he would try and find out why they couldn't find me and call me back, I told him I would be deeply concerned if they couldn't find my data becasue my account was closed less than 6 years ago! He said he'd call me back but never did (suprise suprise!) They cashed my £10 cheque in July, any ideas what to do or shall I just go straight to ICO? Thanks
18. Natwest have now sent my first page so I've uploaded it here along with the table. Looks like the £19,791 is the loan, plus ppi plus interest. I had a PPI rebate 11 months later. I'm so confused! which is the best spreadsheet to use for this and shall I just enter everything as it is on statements. Thank you
19. Hi, Natwest are adament that they can't give me my loan statements prior to July 2005 that's why first page is missing. They won't send me anything regarding my first loan taken out in June 2001 either. All I know for first loan is PPI was £805, I don't know term of loan, repayments or wether this loan was paid off early with the bigger loan that started in 2004. Any ideas what to do know? Thanks
20. Ok thanks Ims, looks like I'll have to chase this though as statement numbered 1-6 so highly unlikely the first years worth will follow. Thanks for your help
