  1. no i have no dates, all i have is the inventory on what seems to be the levy on my car,it states 1st 24.50,second 18.00,levy 66,other 110,thats all the paperwork i have hence trying to get some sort of breakdown, dates etc, he's only been twice and theres 4 sets of charges, liability was paid in full to council within couple of hours of him levying on my car, i was under the impression that he coudnt enforce his charges but he did get me over a barrel in that once he's clamped my car what else could i do but pay,
  2. the council incidently offered as a solution to the problem that they would pay the bailiffs from the money that i had paid them,i said no !!
  3. hi yeah the council confirmed i owed them nothing when i paid them they just told me that i would have to pay the bailiffs their fees,i then wrote to both the company and sent a copy of the letter to the council, the letter was basically just asking for a breakdown of the charges thanks
  4. Hi, Recenty wrote on here regarding bailiffs council tax, Sent off a letter very kindly templated to me on here requesting a breakdon of charges to rossendale bailiffs, basically he came out once, woudnt accept a payment of less than 850 for a 1200 council tax debt, am single parent couldn't pay it, read stuff on here realised that he coudnt as he said break into my property etc and i hid my car, the following week absolutely sods law i parked my car on drive for seconds to drop off shopping and he came levied on it and said he's be back to remove my vehicle within 24 hours, i panicked as very much need my car due to my daughter going to school 7 miles away and i work a further 20 miles away so car very much a life line though is only worth 400-500 max, managed to borrow the money and made a payment online to the council, then went into the council following morning to get them to apply single person discount this brought my council tax bill into £2.5 credit, they did say i would have to pay the bailiff his charges so i said fine, Bailiff immediately started ringing me, said i didnt have the cash to pay etc and posted a template letter off here requesting a breakdown of their charges as the inventory stated 18,24.50,61 & other amount 110, Bailiff kept ringing i told him i was not refusing to pay but wanted to know what that 110 was, he said van fee, i asked him to reply to my letter with a proper itemised bill etc and i offered to pay 105 for the first two visits plus levy, heard nothing more till i left for school/work only for my car to be clamped, rang the council explained all of the above and once again offered them the 105 but wanted to know what exactly this van fee was for, he never have a walking possesion, it was for the tiny van that he drove, certainly coudnt have fit my car in it !! council were useless, explained i coudnt take my daughter to school, my job as a carer i had two people to take to hiospital appointements and they quite frankly coudnt care and said the only way to get clamp off was to pay the bailiff, tried nat debt helpline etc they said he had me over a barrel and would now have to pay, so as much as it absolutely sickened me i had to pay and he came and unclamped my car, can i make a complaint to the council ?, also i was told by the council at the time that there was no longer a levy on my car ??
  5. thats fantastic thanks,i dare say he'll know it will cause him lots of problems and not bother then, ill send the template posted earlier and then post to the thread whatever response i get,ill also send to the council,I shan't however hold my breath for a literate bailiff opening the letter though !! lol, thanks again, looking forward to a good nights sleep for the first time in weeks
  6. ok lovely thanks,do you think the chances of him clamping my car after they receive the letter are slimmer ? also should i mention in the letter that the full liability is paid thanks
  7. hi, just had a look and am rather suprised but my car is actually worth about 600 quid, with regards to the letter am i writing this initially to ask for a breakdown of he actual charges as per template earlier in the feed ? thanks
  8. ok lovely thanks i must go to work now but i shall do this evening as soon as im ack, many thanks once again kate
  9. what im now really worried about is the possibility of rosendales clamping my car as it will mean that i wont have any way of getting my daughter to school
  10. hi yes it was for a speeding fine from quite a lone time ago,its for 300 though i made the first repayment of 100 last week,i offered to pay it over two montsh but he asked if three would be more affordable,i said yes so am ok about that,i just very much want to pay it and get it out of the way
  11. oh right,is there any way of getting rosendales to confirm in writing that the levy is invalid, presumably not, just to complicate the matter after the whole matter the week following paying the council in full i had a bailiff from phillips visit, after having two weeks of total stress and worry i allowed him in and agreed a payment with him, beleive it or not but he was very nice and actually said look can you afford this and then allowed me to spread it over an extra month (it is incidently for a magistrates court fine) and to be honest the repayment is doable and i just want to get it out of my life and i showed him the rosendales levy on my vehicle and also the paid council tax bill and he then levied on my car as he was satisfied that the levy was now invalid,im quite happy with the arrangement ive got with phillips but does that help my case with rosendales ?
  12. oh right so even though the liability is paid in full he may be able to clamp it for his charges alone ?
  13. it certainly is,i only wish i had a record of him saying that even though the council were paid in full the levy was still valid and that he could come and remove my car which as my daughter attends school 7 miles away and not on a bus route did frighten me into agreeing to pay though i have drafted a copy of your letter thanks and next time he rings i shall merely advise him that i wish for him to correspond via letter from now on, many thanks, i have opened my living room window for first time in weeks thanks to my new found confidence !
